Scott I think it sounds really good bro! Those songs crush dude, what amp are you using to record with?
Good job guys I cannot wait to hear some more of this!
They sound pretty rad, dude. You guys are pretty good. Then I would be bios ? lol .. Seriously, you guys are pretty good. Scott, you still make me want to give up guitar ...
Ever since I got a copy of the disc I can't seem to take it out of my player. This is not only crushing, but obviously well written and executed as well. These guys are SERIOUSLY talented musicians. Everytime I listen to it I find a new favorite. Kudos & great job guys.
really dig the 5150 tone Scott; it has killer "cut" thru the mix- i can hear evry note (now i can steal the rest of your licks- don't bitch- you shouldn't have recorded them if you didn't want me to nab em, play them half as well and call them my own). Floyd has never spounded better as well. hell up!!!
Thanx for the kind words my brothers. As far as stealing the licks Blood have at 'em man cause i stole those three licks from much better pickers than me ha ha.
Joe i recorded the basic tracks with my early 90's 5150 in tandem with a Mesa Rocket 44 to give it that nasty cut(man i just sat there looking at the board speakers listening, thinking man that can't be MY tone).Dave really went the extra mile helping me get the tone in my head onto tape...ah harddrive excuse me i'm oldschool. The lead tone is that same Boogie split with a JCM900 50watt duel lead reverb,an amp that to this day i'm trying to con outa Mr.Villani,to no avail i must say .
Once again thanx for givin an ear to the cuts.Rock on all
Thanx for all the positive feedback...nice to see that you're all diggin it...I am blessed to be part of this project and can't wait to start workin on more tunes...Don't forget to come out to show your support at the Benefit for my Bro Terry and the Woodring family on the 11th...details are in the Benefits area of Rockpage...Thanx again
Floyd
"Support the Troops" is not a political statement!
This is a band with real knowledge and passion behind their lyrics and music. They put a lot of thought into everything they do. Top that with excellent songwriting abilities...and you won't be dissapointed with this disc, I promise.
Nice work, bro (heh, I even remember playing some of those tunes with you)...good to see them properly fleshed out! How many tunes total did you record?
Comments: VERY nice lead work, great guitar sound, and a nice emphasis on the LIVE part of things (i.e. not a lot of rhythm tracks...will sound just as full at a gig), nice clean vox and good musicianship all around. My only constructive comment as an obnoxiously loud bassist would be to hear a bit more of Dan-o's stellar low end work.
You should be proud, dude!
BTW, when we gonna b.s. about the Frisell show? Did I mention I was front row center?

Thanks Big K.Indeed the seeds of one or two of these tunes were planted back in the day,and once again i thank you.We recorded 7 songs in total and i swear during the mixdown the bass WAS there! It's a problem we plan on taking to task before pressing, but overall it's the Hetfield in me that's pleased LOL!
Sorry i missed the wonderful offer about the Bill show(front row?really?you bastard!!)Working out of town screwed that for me.At least i've witnessed the magic of the man once before and i'm so happy that you got to be moved by him.AWSOME AWSOME AWSOME isn't he??!!
Peace Scott
