BAD DAZE welcomes JIM BAGROSKY!!!

Post by BDR »

We at Camp bad daZe are pleased to announce the addition of JIM BAGROSKY (Wrench, Stept On, Wake Up Screaming, My Turning Point, among others) to our line up!!! JIM brings a great deal of experience, talent, EN_ER_GY and fire to the bad daZe drum kit and we are effing pumped to get rolling with him laying down the thunder.

I've known Jim for a number of years and, besides being an accomplished and respected musician, he is also a great guy. We all feel very fortunate to welcome him to the fold and we encourage everyone to come do the same personally, starting in October!

ROCK THE EFF OUT, PEEPS!!!

Perfect fit.
I can't wait to hear Jim and Paul lay down a groove. Congrats my brothers.
You guys must be positive on your Karma points... to have an interim drummer like Eric and then a more permanent drummer like Jim is some kind of blessing. Obviously it reflects on the caliber (musically and personally) of the cats that make up that band known as "Bad Daze".
... and then the wheel fell off.

Ahh, so it is true! The only way one can get this gig is to be "in the clique." ;)

Seriously, we couldn't be more happy with this selection. We were looking for the total package - experience, musicianship, committment, stage presence, drive, writing ability, backing vocals, and maybe most importantly, personality - and we feel that we got all of that with choosing Jim. There are a lot of new and exciting things we've been wanting to do that have been put on the backburner do to not having a full-time cat on the drum throne, but now we're ready to steam forward into the rest of our 6th year on stages.

Ron, we truly do feel blessed, and for me personally, the past month and a half of my life has allowed me to obtain two of the most important non-musical things that I've been wanting for the past couple of years. Having 1/4th of the musical puzzle put in place is just a huge added bonus to the rest of my life.

We're eternally grateful for the original Bad Daze drummer, Harry Rainey (no relation to me), and Eric for performing with us the past couple of months. They're two bad-ass players and we didn't miss a beat, both literally and figuratively, with them behind their respective kits. Playing with Eric for the past year has been some of the most fun times I've had up on stage in a long time. Not that we're rockstars now or anything, but his addition a year ago helped elevate us to the next level that we were currently striving for at the time. He has both the instrinsic natural ability and the technical schooling to bring a solid drumming foundation to any band. Rock, blues, jazz, country, ska, metal, punk, pop, world music: He can play it all and play it all well. Plus he's a cool cat. We wish Eric success and prosperity in anything he pursues, and he's always a welcome friend with Bad Daze.

I always feel a little embarassed making these kind of posts because it comes off as kiss-ass, but I'm not kissing ass; I'm giving credit where credit is due. We're just grateful for all of the good vibes that seem to come our way. :)

We've had the pleasure of working with a lot of classy people since we started up and those same classy people always seem to rise to the occasion when we need them. This is how it's supposed to be.

Harry, you effing rock, dude. See you Saturday, honky, but watch out for Bigfoot. I hear he's killed several gorillas in the area and he's still hungry — and not for beef jerky.
