Yes,.... yes they are. Higher than they've been in years. WAY higher. But actually they have came down in the past month or so. But they are still up there. In Hbg, York and Lancaster. They are stealing cooper water pipes from homes. While the water is still on. Stealing storm grates. The grates they put around trees that are along the sidewalks. Some rain spouting on older homes are copper. They are stealing that. If it aint welded down, they're stealing it!!!

I saw a report on the news outta Harrisburg last night that someone was going around with a tow truck and yanking people crappy cars outta the yards and stuff. Plus they even yanked cars off a crappy car lot. And turned them in for scrap.... If anyone questioned them, they just told them the city told them to yank them.... Now that take balls...

I also work in a scrap yard here in huntingdon, and it's amazing what your see come in there everyday.

A year or so ago I was working at Lightner Electronics, and we got some pics of a guy who attempted to steal wire from substation. There wasn't a lot of him left, but he still had a hacksaw in his blackened hand. He looked like someone pulled the arms and legs off a GI Joe, then set it on fire, in fact, I thought it was a fake at first.
