You need to read this link about Palin. She is running with McCain being against "earmarks". Seems she was for them before she was against them.

She is running as a candidate against lobbyists. Seems she was for them before she was against them.

As mayor of a town of about 5000 the first thing she did was hired lobbyists who were "in" with Ted Stevens (who is currently under investigation) . They managed to earmark about $27,000,000 for her little town.

Could you imagine what Altoona could do with an extra 27 Million Dollars sent to us by the Feds ? What do you think it would cost taxpayers if every town in the US was passed along - as an earmark stuck into another bill - 27 Million ?

I'm not certain if this was a smart move or merely a copycat type of play.
This election has been the craziest one in our time probably. You know the delegates should be more mature and leave the home life out of the business life. It just seems childish and immature to allow this election to come to blows. That being said, I'm not sure who I am going to vote for. I really do not like any one of them, but I can't just sit on my rear end and not voice my opinion.
Are there alot of voters from here that are choosing to participate in the election? How about those who choose not to vote?

I will raise one important point about Palin's "leadership experience". In her speech at the nat'l convention, she announced that her son was deploying to Iraq on Sep 11 and even told us what unit he was going with. In the military we have a thing we like to call OPSEC. Operational Security is the MOST important aspect of any mission. You'd think a "Commander in Chief" might know this. She's an idiot. But, she's pretty.

I can overlook all the other differences that she and I have, but she risked the lives of everybody in that unit. Not someone I want anywhere near my fellow troops. Go back to the PTA.

She had 27 Million dollars earmarked in federal fund sent to her little town. Now she says she is against earmarks.

Supported the Million dollars bridge to an island of 50 people. Until it was labeled the bridge to nowhere. Then she was against it.

Lobbied for $375 million dollars to build a road from a town of (I think) 2,700 to a town of 800 even though it would be unusable through the winter because it would go through avalanche country.

I LOVE THIS ONE. "I sold the governor's jet on Ebay". LIE. It was on Ebay but it did not sell. It was then sold to ? for 300,000 below it's value. Huh.

And more. The governor's jet was used for transporting prisoners from Alaska to Arizona because Alaska doesn't have room for them.
