And now, a MUSICAL discussion for your Rockpage enjoyment

Post by bassist_25 »

I've found that it is quite a small world in the Central Pennslyvainia music scene. Often times when I meet a musician, I'll find that they've played in bands that I'm quite familiar with, but never knew they were in. So I was wondering - What are all of the previous bands/projects you've been involved in?

I use to play in:

Relative Minor
Visitor (recording project)
Blue Sonic
Driving Sideways

And now, Bad Daze.

Yep, that's me. It says "Visitor" on my discs, though. *LOL*

I jammed on the first disc that was just Jesse, Rodney, Paul, and myself, and the second one with Jesse, Rodney, Scott, Paul, you, and myself.

Too much. I didn't know that was you. We were wondering where you went. I wanted to get in touch with you about playing bass in another band. Let me know if you are ever looking for work.

Jesse made a compilation of those 2 discs with cool labels of a "gray" alien's head overlayed with like a blue snakeskin pattern. Its called

VIZITOR -- ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE

I did a double-take when I saw the Z on the new disk. Take a look at your 2nd disk and see if the S looks like a 2

That was a real bitch getting 6 tracks in what, 8 takes?

Coolness!!! Bad Daze is my first priority, but I'm always into taking up freelance work, as long as it doesn't interfere.

Yes, if I can remember correctly, it does. I'll take a look at it tonight, because I'm in a hurry right now. :D

Yeah, and I think we really paid the price for it by mixing in the same day. I wasn't happy with the mix of the second disc. Everything sounds too "crowded", and the bass and keyboards are way too low in the mix during some of the songs.

Not that my claim to fame was extensive, but...

Pre-skill: Ja-Mie and the Bedroom Band.

Post-skill: Providence, Drive (those were the days, huh Urbs?), Beyond Reason (I sat in a few times as a favor), and currently Ever Since Yesterday.

Mick Luckenbaugh on drums
Phil Colarchic on Bass
Big Jim Ricotta on Guitar & Vocals
Yours Truly on Guitar & Vocals
