I haven't seen the new Rambo, but this makes me want to!!!
I loved those movies... I was a quiet kid, and I liked that Rambo says almost nothing in the first movie ('til the end, where he does the almost comical solilloquy about not finding his buddy's legs). The rest got pretty silly, but that's the genre: action movies made for adolescent boys (and adolescent men lol) don't have to be extremely factual in much the same way chick flicks eschew reality. See also "Missing In Action" movies.
Anyway, Rambo is the quiet storm, the hero that just wants to be left alone, and that resonates with some guys. I'm sure I'll see this one in the theater.------>JMS

Remember when he threw the rock through the front window of the helicopter?? That prick cop fell out and landed on his head.Atomic Jim wrote:I'm a big Stallone/Rambo fan, but who was the good guy killed in Rambo I? I didn't think he killed anyone in that movie. Did I miss something? Time to get out the DVD.
Pour me another one, cause I'll never find the silver lining in this cloud.
