How many of you found your band/members

Post by DirtySanchez »

on ROCKPAGE???

I found Fedup from working with Don Singer the first bassist but I had commitment issues due to my metalcore band Revolutionary Front.
I rejoined after seeing ads on RP and the PA musician.

The side effects were started by me posting on Rockpage and Justin(DrumandDestroy) responding.

How many of you have found bands and or members here?

Band members...

Post by Mudbug »

To be honest.... none. Went to some try outs and had people try out for projects I was in. But nothing ever became of those. And they have been very few and far between.... BUT.... Have made some friends. Even if it's just PM's and/or emails. And there is good info within the RP community as well... Good PR is, good PR. No matter what type... :D
Come on in the Mud is fine...

When I was jamming with Scott Bush (onegunguitar) and Bob Gailey, we found Dave Moses (tornandfrayed) right here on RP and formed "Frayed".

I met Justin Gelvin on here because we saw of his band The Vengeance of Carl Lee whenever Eyes of Anguish was still together and we've been in a few bands together since. Other than that I haven't met any band members on here, mostly just sell/buy stuff from people on here.

I had to leave the area, and I am so glad I did.
I love and miss some of the people but I don't miss the drama.
Plus I get to play with some pretty talented people, actually to play with Jeff Cherep formerly of Doomwatch and Submachine is a dream come true,he as always been one of my favorite people and guitarist off all time.
And I am constantly learning mad skills from the man.

Jammin' Sundays with the Hurricanes as a result of their post here. I have known Felix for years, but RP brought us together for some great jams recently. And it has been a hoot getting to know and jam with Bobby.
Also picked up several production gigs from RP posts!

I can be found perusing and abusing this site usually at least 3 times a day, more when I was doing the office jobs. I can't recall if I ever found fulltime bandmembers here, but I've found LOTS of gigs, and a bunch of contacts I wouldn't have made otherwise. Plus, I've been a fan of JP and his writing for a couple of decades, and he sent me here.

Thanks Brian, trying not to get too excited cause I have bad luck, but I'll see where it goes. He seems like a cool dude.

And as far as my back, it is wrecked. I have to go for x-rays, and psychical therapy 3 times a week. Apperciated your concern.

Kee Kee Anderson and I found each other on RP in early '07.
Professional and solid musicians.
Dave Buzard. Dave Brown. Mark Panek.

Health probs caused me to leave the band after just a few months... too bad.... we were on a roll making some mighty fine music. The guys have since joined other projects and are jamming across PA. It was my pleasure to work with these talented gentlemen; especially lead guitarist Dave Buzard (daveb) whose guitar slaying and charasmatic showmanship could produce what I like to call... guitargasms (it's that state of mind when you're really digging the jam, ya know? :) )
