Great Politcal Point of View!

Post by oobie »

hope i don't offend anybody, but this was a good email i received!!!
READ ON:

HELL YEAH !!!
Bet you stand up and sayHELL YEAH! after you read this.

I like big cars, big boats, big motorcycles, big houses and big campfires.

I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some governmental stooge with a bad comb-over who wants to give it away to crack addicts for squirting out babies.

Guns do not make you a killer. I think killing makes you a killer. You can kill someone with a baseball bat or a car, but no one is trying to ban you from driving to the ball game.

I believe they are called the Boy Scouts for a reason, that is why there are no girls allowed. Girls belong in the Girl Scouts!

I think that if you feel homosexuality is wrong, it is not a phobia, it is an opinion. I don't think being a minority makes you a victim of anything except numbers.

The only things I can think of that are truly discriminatory are things like the United Negro College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black Entertainment Television, and Miss Black America. Try to have things like the UnitedCaucasianCollege Fund, Cloud Magazine, White Entertainment Television, or Miss White America and see what happens. Jesse Jackson will be knocking down your door.

I have the right "NOT" to be tolerant of others because they are different, weird, or tick me off.
When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70%of the population is black, that is not racial profiling, it is the law of statistics.

I know what sex is, and there are not varying degrees of it. If I received sex from one of my subordinates in my office, it wouldn't be a private matter or my personal business. It would be "FIRED" immediately!

I believe that if you are selling me a milk shake, a pack of cigarettes, a newspaper or a hotel room, you must do it in English! As a matter of fact, if you want to be an American citizen you should have to speak English!.

My father and grandfather should not have died in vain so you can leave the countries you were born in to come over and disrespect ours.

I think the police should have every right to shoot your sorry ass if you threaten them after they tell you to stop. If you can't understand the order"freeze" or "stop" in English, see the above lines.

I feel much safer letting a machine with no political affiliation recount votes when needed. I know what the definition of lying is.

I don't think just because you were not born in this country, you are qualified for any special loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, trinket store, or any other business.

We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries and risk our lives in wars to defend their freedoms so that decades later they could come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document and open to their interpretations.

I don't hate the rich. I don't pity the poor. I know wrestling is fake, but so are movies and television, and that doesn't stop you from watching them. I believe a self-righteous liberal or conservative with a cause is more dangerous than a Hell's Angel with an attitude.

I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and continue to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next operating system that's better and put your name on the building. Ask your buddy that invented the Internet to help you..

It doesn't take a whole village to raise a child right, but it does take a parent to stand up to the kid and smack his/her little ass when necessary and say "NO".

I think tattoos and piercing are fine if you want them, but please don't pretend they are a political statement. And please stay home until that new lip ring heals, I don't want to look at your ugly infected mouth as you serve me French fries!

I am sick of "Political Correctness" and of all the suck ups that go along with it. I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was born in Africa, so how can they be "African Americans"?
Besides, Africa is a continent. I don't go around saying I am a European-American because my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was from Europe. I am proud to be from America and no where else.

And if you don't like my point of view, tough!
GET OVER IT!!! WAKE UP WHILE YOU STILL HAVE A COUNTRY TO WAKE UP TO.

If you are not ashamed of America, forward this to everyone in your address book while you can still do it for free.

I also believe in America. I also think that it shouldn't take a catastrophe for Americans to wave our flag. It seems like everytime we think we're too cool to wave the flag something happens to make us look up to see if that flag is still waving and I thank God it always has been.

I like big cars, big boats, big motorcycles, big houses and big campfires. I just want my grandkids to have an earth left to put them on.

I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, but it was a Republican who said that "Taxes are the price we pay for a civilized society."

I believe in the Second Amendment to the Constitution, let me quote it to you,
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
I believe that the NRA and other conservative groups want you to forget about the first 13 words of this amendment to swell their ranks and boost gun sales, and while I would never ask for anyone's hunting rifle, I believe that if you really truly need a machine gun to defend your home, maybe you should move, and by the way we have a well regulated militia, it's called the National Guard, and if you choose to join they'll issue you a machine gun when you need one, they just won't let ya take it home.

I believe that as long as it is consensual and it's not children or animals who you fuck is your own business.

I believe that we should encourage adoption but I also believe that the Government has No business telling a woman what medical procedures she can and can't have. If you don't believe in Abortions, don't have one.

I believe that if you do the same job you should get the same pay but you better be doing the same job.

I believe that education and treatment will be more effective against drugs than mandatory minimums have been.

I believe in the separation of church and state but I think they should leave the pledge of allegiance the hell alone.

I believe that the people who flew those planes into the twin towers weren't named Paddy O' Malley but they weren't named Shaneekwa Jackson or Jose Garcia either.

I believe that I deserve the same chances to succede as somebody born on an estate in Martha's Vineyard and so does a kid born in Compton.

I believe that if you break the law you should go to jail, whether or not you have money. I believe OJ did it, I believe Scott Petersen did it, I believe Michael Jackson has serious problems, but Kobe's being set up.
I also believe that if a woman goes to a boxer's hotel room at 2 am, he ain't binging her there to discuss literature, and she should know better.

I believe that protesting the policies of government is one of the freedoms I put on a uniform and stood a post to defend and even though I may not agree with protestors or how they protest they still have that right.

I believe in honest disagreements between people, being conservative doesn't make you a racist or a redneck any more than being a liberal makes you a fag or a wimp.

Say "hell yeah" to that!

Yeah, and if common sense were all that were needed to run a country, colleges wouldn't offer political science classes. There's a reason why the Average Joe doesn't run for office. Though, sometimes I believe a political awareness test should be given before one can vote. :? Then again, people like Dubya because he "speaks on their level". I wish people would use that big thing on top of their brain, called the cerebral cortext; it holds a lot of power. Then again, when I become cynical about human nature, I just remind myself that the Paleolithic era lasted for 735,000 years, and evolution doesn't just happen over night.

I agree with Tonefight, the chain letter sounds like it was written by your typical guy who doesn't have a clue. The comment about Bill Gates goes to show that the person doesn't know shit about programming or the IT industry.

Common sense certainly isn't the only thing required to run the country. The person that wrote that just made sense. No BS in there at all.

I wasn't an A+ math student either but if 70% of crimes in a city where 70% of the population was black where commited by black people then wouldn't that be the same as 30% of crimes in a city where 30% of the people where caucasion where comited by caucasions?

So isn't that law of statistics saying that things are about even?

Still say this was written by someone with no clue

The National Guard is a very small part of the militia. By definition, the militia is the entire body of physically fit civilians eligible by law for military service.

According to Title 10, chapter 13 of the U.S. Code the militia is described as:

§ 311. Militia: composition and classes

(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.

(b) The classes of the militia are --

(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia;

and

(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

Anti-NRA sentiment tends to conveniently omit class 2. The NRA does NOT forget the 1st 13 words. If you read Federalist Paper #46, you will find that one of the intents of preserving the militia in our constitution is to protect the people's liberties from tyranny that could be imposed by an armed federal government.

http://odur.let.rug.nl/~usa/D/1776-1800 ... /fed46.htm

The 2nd amendment is NOT about hunting...its about the common defense...from without AND from within. It was the intent of the Founding Fathers that the militia would always be greater than the standing federal army. Hunting rifles? Handguns? Machine guns? In principle, the 2nd amendment gives the states the right to maintain nuclear weapons as a balance of power with the Union's military.

That was true in the past, but in 2004 it actually is a political statement of sorts. Its no longer the stigma it once was. Its just a sign of caving in to pop culture. Sheeple getting 'tood just because everybody else got one. That's sad.

When a teenager asks my opinion about getting inked or pierced, I ask them why they want to do it. After they give me some lame "running with the pack" reason, I ask them to consider not getting it, just to be different. A little rebellion is a good thing for a kid to have.

If the government were to, hypothetically, "step their bounds", and a revolution took place, do you really think that untrained civilians will be able to stop M1A1s and B-2 bombers with 22s and 12 gauges?

And this cannot be a good idea at all. I'm with Vinny on this one; I believe that people should be allowed to own weapons. I think that rifles and shotguns are perfectly safe in the hands of RESPONSIBLE people, but there's no need to own a freakin' AK-47 or an Uzi.

And I still don't see how that chain letter has "common sense". I mean, Tonefight already pointed out that flawed statistic. (Personally, I would like to see a statistic where 70% of a demographic is responsible for 70% of the crime) Then there's the point about "Big cars and big houses". Which is true, because we all know that self-worth is directly proportionate to material gain. Again, there's a reason why scientist spend years in graduate school, it's because "common sense" doesn't mean shit. Politics is a science. I believe in hard objective facts, not "common sense".

The reason I said the author doesn't know shit about IT is because he said to "build the next OS". Umm, how about Linux, Novell, Unix, OS X, ect. Just look at Bill Gates record of trying to snuff out Netscape by using programming, and making sure that certain programs aren't backwards compatible. I'm not one of those anti-Microsoft people either.

Thank you for making my point. The left-wing (not liberal, I mean left-wing--a true liberal supports constitutional freedoms) would like to diminish this right and limit the public's ownership to 22s and 12 gauges, further weakening the militia's ability to protect our liberties.

Please take time to read the link I posted to the Federalist Papers. What you and I think is irrelevant. It is the intent of the Founding Fathers that matters here. Unfortunately, we the sheeple have either forgotton or ignored their intentions...perhaps they just aren't convenient anymore.

To answer your question...YES! I believe that if it became necessary to the security of this free state, 100 million militia with presently available arms could defeat the Union army with all their superior technology.

Actually, Novell Netware is not an O/S. It is a network protocol.

No, Novell Netware is an OS. Specifically it is a Network Operating System. IPX/SPX, TCP/IP are network protocols. :P

Thanks for backing me up about the Novell, Dwert. ;)

Jeff, I'll check out the link, but I still think it's a bad idea to allow private citizens to own TOW missle systems, and AH-64 Apache choppers.

Ok, I'll buy that because it boots on a server and IPX/SPX is its native protocol (at least it was the last time I looked). My point was that it didn't belong in that list in that context. I inherited a Novell network in 1997 and promptly dumped it for NT. They were still pushing V4 and Novell really, really sucked at the time.

Now be nice Lonewolf.. :) I spent a LOT of time working with Netware from version 2.11 up to Netware 5. I have to say that it was a rock solid NOS. I had servers that ran for over a year without a reboot. That is almost unheard of in the Windows server world.

Actually, I'd settle for a Hum-Vee. :D

It probably wouldn't be a very good idea because of the lack of target ranges. Besides, who can afford them? I'll tell you. People with enough money, power and influence to buy them whether they are legal or not.

In the 1780s the highest tech military equipment was the rifled cannon. Even today, an 18th century cannon would still be in the same league with grenade launchers and mortars. If it was the intent of the Founding Fathers to limit the type of arms we have a right to bear, don't you think it would appear somewhere in the constitution?

I edited my statement to make more sense and correct the timeframe. You are right about Netware being stable, but they were dragging their feet with windows integration and Unix/AIX/IRIX integration was nearly non-existant. It was OK in an office environment, but it wasn't going to fly with engineering workstations.

I am running servers with NT and 2003 Server and the only time I have to reboot is when I add software that requires a reboot or when I add hardware. I haven't had stability problems with Windows servers. After 25 years in the business, just lucky, I guess.

Jeff, how do you like Server 2003? I haven't had a chance to work with it yet.

*LOL* I remember I went to a Microsoft convention about a year and a half ago, and they were plugging .Net. I wonder how many people are actually using it though.
