Don't worry about it. When it comes to unborn children, the US is second to none in the way it cares for infants in the womb. My wife had two high risk pregnancies and deliveries, and test after test had us worried but provided the docs with all the info they needed to make informed choices about the best care possible. I've never seen concern from Docs like the give kids in the womb. Tests mean they want info so they know what ehy need to do. It's harder on the parents than anything else. Maybe this time it'll cooperate for you and you'll know the sex....

Prayers and Positive Energy to Shannon, your child, and you Brian. Stress only releases bad things into your system, so even though I know it's difficult, don't worry, everything will be alright. BEST WISHES to you all, and Brian, there is a reason we're called 'Daddy's little girl'! As Mike said, we fish and like to do just about anything little boys can do. Enjoy all the together, just the two of you time you have now, baby makes three, but what a JOY!
The only one of my 3 children I absolutely knew the gender of before birth, was my youngest and last, Thomas. He appeared to proudly show his gender during a high risk ultrasound when I was 5 months along at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, diagnosing a placenta previa and making certain all was well. Those ultrasounds are something else! The Technician showed me the chambers/valves of HIS Heart, which are perfect, thank Heaven!
My final 2 pregnancies were both high risk. Mairi due to a bad stomach virus at 8 months along, which left me dehydrated and required a few days' hospitalization, but I carried her another month. I had a complete placenta previa with Thomas, spotted throughout the pregnancy, then bled and was on bed rest, but finally hemorraghed and he was 4 1/2 weeks early via emergency c. Heh, one would never know he was a preemie, he weighed over 7', which was more than the full term baby next to him in the nursery. (My oldest son, Mark, was over 9', so if I would've carried Thomas to term,
aye carumba!)
There is something with the babies' heart rate...I can't recall which it is, but I believe it's that a girl's is faster. Via that supposed old wive's tale, and with their heart rates being consistent, I had an inkling Mark and Thomas were boys and Mairi was a girl.
However, as others have said, the moment they arrive, it doesn't really matter...all that matters is that they're here, well and HEALTHY!
I'd say November 10, which is/was my Baba's birthday, but first babies aren't usually early, so I'll pick my brother-in-law's, which is November 28.

Everything was cool when we visited the Doctor yesterday.
The fluids were on the low side of normal, so we're good. They just want to monitor it next month to be safe. I also found out that it's a girl.
Goodbye to what little sanity I had left I guess.
