RIDERS NEEDED ( GRIMM RIDE FOR LIFE )

Post by Imgrimm01 »

I am looking for approx 10 Experienced bikers to be group leaders and tail gunners for the GRIMM ride for HOPE ( see benefits forum for details ) What does this mean ? We are separating bikers into groups of 25 including a leader and tail that know the route and can keep the group organized etc... if you would like to volunteer please PM me length of time you have been riding and what you ride, I will be in touch from there. This could be your chance to help with a Great cause... Thank You
I'm glad I didn't have to fight in a war, I'm glad I didn't get killed or kill somebody, I hope my kids enjoy the same lack of manhood

For anyone who doesn't know, the event Bob is referring to is the Grimm's First Annual Ride for Life on August 9. This motorcycle ride/concert will raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society in remembrance of those we've lost to this terrible disease along the way. Our goal is to raise at least $2000 for the ACS.

In order to make this event a success, we really need some other experienced riders to help us lead individual groups.

For more information on the ride, please visit: www.myspace.com/thegrimmband or call me at (814)886-2887.

I do want to do the ride, but it's so far in the future, that I don't want to commit to being a leader/gunner, and then not be able to make it. If you still need folks closer to the day of the ride, I'll be more than happy to help. (I've been riding since I was 6, and I ride one of those new 6 cylinder Harleys  )

BAG, Kent & Myself are the only bikers here ? I have seen people come together on RP ( with passion ) about a sideways fart and for a cancer benefit there's nothing ?

Thats where we stand right now too. The way Brians work schedule is its hard for us to say 100% we'll do it, we will know closer to the date though. I know a few people who are planning on going, actually, they just don't post here.

I agree, it's great to plan well ahead and if you can find people to make a commitment that far ahead that is great. I would hate to make a commitment and find closer to the date I can't do it. Get who ya can on board now and I think you will find some people to fill the gaps as you get closer to the event.

Kent, I called my one friend, and she and her peeps in the m/c organization have some big shindig planned for that day, sorry! I'm gonna try and get the word out to some others w/ bikes. If MySpace would allow me to login, it'd be much easier.

I'm hoping to participate in the ride, but only having got my license last week I'm still in the process of getting used to my 650. Should be ready!
