Wilapalooza X is less than a week away!!! That's right Wilapalooza returns again, this year to celebrate the 10th year anniversary of the great Perry County tradition. Some of you may have heard of this venue before, for those of you who haven't, here it is: Wilapalooza is an all day music festival (referred to by many as a miniature woodstock) which usually plays host to an estimated (my own estimated figure) 2,000 music loving partiers, but have no fear, quality security is on hand to tackle and/or dismantle anyone who chooses to act idiotic. It is a safe and fun experience. The Palooza gets under way this Saturday July 10, around noon. There are two stages crafted side by side every year. Some of the best musical talent in Pennsylvania is showcased, featuring a wide and unique variety of musical eras/genres. Performing this weekend is F Bombs, Skruem, Gimmik, Revolver, Cypher, Big Green Limo, Clarence Backwater Revolver, Root 74, Dingleberry Shortcake, Condition K, Spinebelt, Adrian Blitzer, Axum, Rotoglow, and Dead 50's. Professional sound is engineered and mastered by Keith Hummel. Free food is also available (hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries, chicken, beans, potato chips, etc.), and free parking and camping, all included in the $20 dollar admission (alcoholic beverages not provided- BYOB). Please bring your tents, blankets, and chairs and be sure to make a full night of it. I am an avid Wilapalooza goer, and I am looking very forward to this year's event. It is a great party. Doug told me yesterday that he has tried getting ahold of the man in charge of Wila but I guess it is quite diffacult.
