It looks like I am. Anyone else just going to stay home and enjoy NOT buying gas to go somewhere ?

I remember bitching a fit two years ago cuz I had to pay 'fifty some' bucks to drive to Myrtle Beach... ah the good old days.

Fishing at Raystown is about the furthest vacation I'm planning.

I thought gas prices were insane, I'm just glad I don't have to buy heating oil. My friend has oil heat and told me (im not sure if its accurate) that heating oil is up almost 300% from last year?

My Vacation is in 3 weeks, when I head to the Creation Fesitval! I am working on the Main Stage Crew again this year! Looking forward to working with Switchfoot, Skillet, Flyleaf, Pillar, Toby Mac, Chris Tomlin, Leeland, and so many others! Even though I am working, I still love it! Better than being at my day job for sure!

Hope you all have good vacations!

First, we planned on Ft. Myers/Sanibel, FL. Then Outer Banks. Then Colonial Williamsburg.
Her vacation was last week. We stayed home. Well, I went to a BG festival in WV and camped for a few days before that (it was a paid show), and we did go kayaking down the Raystown Branch last week twice. I figure it cost me $40 in gasoline.
Well, I've officially hit the wall. I live about 11 miles from Altoona, and I now tend to only go when I must, and then I do everything all in one day that I'll need to do for the week.
Hey, I'm still eating real food everyday. I've been in more dire straits before, but jeez, the older you get, the harder it is. I feel bad for people who have to feed and clothe kids... that's gotta be hard.---->JMS

We have a camp in Newton Hamilton...we haven't been going as often as we'd like simply because its just too much money to get there now. And that isnt even THAT far away. It sucks.
I like to walk at the Rails to Trails and havent been going there either, I just cant justify spending gas money to go somewhere to walk when I can just really walk out my door and not drive anywhere to go for a walk.

Sick of it.

That is pretty cool. They are all good bands. Enjoy it ... I saw Chris Tomlin and leelad at the Jordan center. They are both pretty good live. Then so was David Crowder, Casting Crowns, Hyper Static Union, Arron Shust, Michael W. Smith, Big Daddy Weave, and Third Day. All good bands I seen live ...

Creation is always the highlight of my Summer. My family and friends can't wait. I just hope it's a little bit cooler than it's been the past two days.

Not sure what we're doing with the week in July that we're off?

Yes, STAYvacation. I'm remodeling the kitchen this summer and getting things in line for the BIG vacation. Retirement someday! Hope I make it. 55 and counting.

I'll be heading to Delaware at the end of August, but the car will spend most of its time just sitting while we are there. I've already budgeted a large portion of the budget just for gas to get there and back.
