KIMBO SLICE

Post by waydowneast »

Is anyone planning on watching the the eliteXC on CBS this Saturday Night?
I know Kimbo is a youtube star but I'd like to see him get KOd. Being a huge fan of UFC and Pride FC for many years this card seems to be a good one with Gina, Baroni, and Lawler. Any rockpagers into mma?

also.... GO PENS!!!!

i'm not super into it, but i think kimbo is going to get ahis ass kicked.

he was great at fighting jobless assholes from miami, but he lost his first fight against someone trained (see his fight against sean gannon on youtube).

then again, i am sure he has been training hard...he may be dominant. this will definitely bring ratings to CBS

once again, GO PENS!

I wanna watch Jens Pulver kick the shit out of That pretty boy Faber sunday night on versus. Just started getting into WEC, and I think I like it a little more than UFC. Mostly just cuz of Pulver. That guy is fucking awesome and seems pretty level headed for someone who gets knocked senseless for a living. haha

Jens Pulver (Little Evil) is awesome to watch. I was pulling for him to knock out BJ Penn. :?

I went to see a UFC event a few years back and it was awesome!!!! No cable so I haven't been keeping up but used to watch it all the time. And I agree, I was routing for Penn to get KO'd!!! Damn, this could make me get my cable back!!!

I'm going to DVR the Pulver vs Faber event. It's great that WEC/UFC is giving us that for free. (Yes, WEC is owned by Zuffa, the parent company of UFC.) I can't say that I'm rooting against Faber, though. I've watched him fight, and dude is unbelievable. I also really like Pulver, so I'm kinda neutral in who to root for. I'll enjoy it either way.

As for the OP, not a Kimbo Slice fan at all.

anybody remember Haselrig? you know all-pro for the stillers a while back, had more chances at success than anybody and blew every one of them, yeah, that haselrig. hes a jtowner and they had a write up in the paper about him and apparently he's doing this type of fighting now and i think he might be on this. not sure though. he was division1 and 2 national champ wrestler and just all=round bad-ass mo fo, and big as a house. i'm not really into this stuff but might check it out if Has is going to be on. anybody know?

THIS FIGHT SHOULD HAVE BEEN STOPPED TWO DIFFERENT TIMES.
1. It looked like Kimbo tapped out
2. The ref should have stopped it because he was not protecting himself.

KIMBO is a joke and a disgrace for the sport. Out of all the guys that could of made the cover of espn magazine and be a face for the sport.... they pick him.

what a black eye for the sport.

I agree, he was not protecting himself at all, I've seen refs call the match for a lot less than that.. but I can't lie, I am suprised how good Kimbo was on the ground. I figured the first time he went to the ground it was over. And that guys cauliflower ear was the worst I've seen yet lol.

Heh! We met Carlton at Magro's in Jtown a couple times. He sat down on my drums and started banging away, i was like ohh shit, Felix told me who he was and i kept my mouth shut. Bad ass mo fo.....I heard he was in Camp Hill for awhile for shooting at a helicopter and when he got out he was training for some fighting league. He will do well i can bet.

he is a bad ass mo fo. i've known him since 4th grade. he was bad ass then. amazing athlete. natural. kind of a knuckle head in some ways though. who isn't though? it's been a few years since i've talked to him. i think it might be time for some prank phonecalls. you know, get'em fired up for the fight.

I would fight Kimbo in a heartbeat....especially for big bucks.
I have leaned down to 222lbs with a 34" waiste and I am fast as hell with my feet.
I prefer it over 260lbs with a 35" waiste. Speed is power.
No forget it I'd rather smoke and pound(Lovin") the Ole Lady now that I'm 35...age.
Slice is over rated. He's just another man. Like all of us.
Then again I have been in as many if not more fights than him ....so I don't care in the end if it happens?????Oh well.
Rock on...cause I'm "Big Rob"
