A few off the top of my head...

National:

Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show
The Power Trio from Hell (they lasted for all of one album in the early 90's)
Southern Culture on the Skids
Lynyrd Skynyrd

Local:

Gun Runnin' Amish
Gasoline Dion
Urinal Puck Ministries
Blind Jonny Death/Rusty Gun Revival (I like both names)
$9 Porno
Skaterman & the Box of Death
Legends of the Lost & Found
The O.C.B. (Original Cover Band)
Jimmy Sweatpants
Caeser Pink & the Imperial Orgy
Hair Force One
The Smokin' J's
Ten Inch Grinch
The Grimm (simple but fits the style of music perfectly)

(I can probably think of many more, those are just the first ones...)

Regarding Coney Hatch, I just heard that their former singer, Carl Dixon, is recovering in Australia from serious injuries suffered in a car crash. And for some trivia that would fit in the other thread about trivia you might not know, Carl was the singer for the version of The Guess Who that played at the Jaffa Shrine 4 years ago (the Q94 Spring Megafest show).

Thanks Rick for the props!

I was watching a show about punk on the documentary channel recently, where they made mention that Chrissie Hynde wanted to name one of her earlier bands (Pre-Pretenders era): Mike Hunt's Honorable Discharge.

Disgusting, yet witty.
I'm just a bass chick trying to stay out of treble.

The Two Man String Jamboree Band and Traveling Folk Funk Psychedelic Blues Review Experience

Ok, so this "band" was nothing more than my friend Zeke & I getting blasted and going up to Gospel Hill at 1:00 in the morning with acoustic guitars and wailing on original numbers like "I Saw Deer" and "Dead Drunk Girls Don't Say No" or extended improvs like "Play the Hendrix Chord, ...Ain't it Funky Lord", and the occasional cover. Occasionally we would drive the back road to Glasgow and play in the car to warm up and get some inspiration before we hit the Hill. We usually amended the name to suit our fancy of whatever musical genre we happened to be inspired by on any particular evening. Sometimes the name would be ridiculously long depending on how "creative" we were feeling. It was a lot of fun. I'd like to do a reunion tour sometime (It's probably coming up on 15 years or so). Maybe do an album ("Live from Gospel Hill" would be appropriate). We'd probably get shot nowadays, we almost did back then.

I dig the name FedUp especially when done with the FedEx logo. That was a really cool idea. I wish I would have thought of that...

I thought JDFS, Blind Johnny Death and Choking Faith were super cool too. I also like Fatal Maim.

Call me crazy; but I dig "The Embalmed"; maybe thats why we went with it...
