For that matter, probably most of the bands I'll be playing on this coming Sunday's "Backyard Rocker" Memorial Day Special (shameless plug), the show's annual 3-hour trip down local music 'memory lane' starting at 7.
Good list Jim... some others in the same genre I would love to see:
Smilin' Dogg
Anaconda
I Against I
Blaz-On
Cut the Mustard
Piranha
Black Diamond
Lyssa
Quest
Windflower
Hissy Fit
and some Pittsburgh Bands:
Triple X, Valhalla, Overlord, XCaliber, Diamond REO, Silencers, Assassin

Both bands would pack the house.
Oh the memories...I believe the Eden Lounge is now closed too. People would drive from all over to go there..up to 50 miles each way.
Was the band with female singer "18 Names" (with Karla Goldman on vocals)? Although I have never been to the Eden, I think that band played there regularly.

Naaa...that wasn't it....I was hoping that Jim would remember. I know they appeared in the PA Musician at that time. I can still picture her onstage. Its hell getting old....

Colton, you guys and gal played some out there shit. You used to get some really cool tone with your strat. What amp did you use then?
Same two Fenders I use today, 67 Bandmaster and 65 Princeton. Sometimes mic'd them both, sometimes used princeton piggybacked as personal monitor. All depended where we were.
Laugh if you want to, really is kinda funny, 'cause the world is a car and you're the crash test dummy.
Stept On absolutely. Also would like to see Riot Act. The US Hotel House band would be nearly impossible without Jimmy Rossi but I wish they woud give it a try.

For very selfish reasons, I agree. I was the guitar player and the founder of the Impacts in 1963. Phil was there, too, and eventually Dave Garland from Dave and the Knights played with us. It was my first band.
I would also like to see a reunion of Fire and rain with John Skelly, Dave Edmondson, Pat McGraw and Alan Robinson. They were a great band with outstanding vocals.
I'd also like to see "219" reunite. My wife and I played with the Stevens brothers in that band for 5 - 1/2 years, same six people. I don't no if it was the best band I ever played in, but it was absolutely the most fun.
XENO. Pound-for-pound, best band I've seen here. EVER.
Korruption. Even though they made life miserable if you were playing on a night they were playing.
Manndrake. First show I saw in PA was a double-bill of Blaz-On and Manndrake at Turk's Place (The William Penn Inn). Tim Mann blew me away with his guitar playing. Wow.
I Enemy. I miss that band like crazy. When I got married, my wife and I showed up at Peter C's after the reception, still in our wedding gear, for the last set of an I Enemy show.
Stix-N-Stones. Always a fun time with those guys. Great band.
John Solinski and Kenny Karlheim. Them boys just ain't right.
and because I'm selfish...
The original lineup of Banditos. I'd love to play with the lads again. We had a great run for about 3-4 years with the original lineup, and I wonder if we could jump onstage and still tear it up instantly.
I'm not going to lie, aside from all the distractions and absolutely love playing with the guys i'm with now, I wish the original line-up of Fayted would have stuck together as I think we could have went somewhere with it all aside our musical differences. Not saying we would have made it very far or not but certain we could have atleast taken the next step whatever that may have been whether it was a small label or big label etc...

know where Jeff is, but what ever happened to Quay and Fester?
Scott Quay is in the San Francisco Bay area, singing and playing guitar with a band called October Allied. They played a show at Aldo's last fall with The Marauders. October Allied's website:
Last I heard about Fester, he was living in Pittsburgh still and traveling a lot for work...I think Jeff talks to him occasionally, I dont think hes playing anymore.

Personally, I Would Love to see Defiance with Pally on Vocals, Skip on Guitar, Mike McCartney on Guitar, and the Watkins Brother on Bass & Drums!
How Bout you!
I second that!
Or the band Ice, from Ebensburg.
Or Teeze, from Eastern PA.
Or the best version of Harpo, before Silvagni.
Or freakin' Coinmonster, who never really broke up, they just don't play!--->JMS
ICE was one of the best locals ever. They taught my original band, Disciple, a lot. Scott, their bassist was a class act. To add to what Kevin said, I'd love to reunite with any of the bands that I played with Tim Mann.

I talked to Ron Gonzalez about 2 months ago at the Emporium. He had no idea anybody even remembered ICE. He said he hasn't played guitar in years... what a waste. Tim Mann said the same thing when I saw him last summer... hardly ever even picks the damn thing up. These are guys who have more talent in their little fingers than I could ever hope to muster. You shredders, you need to start a "Pull TD Mann Out OF Retirement Petition." That dude was just incredible, and waaaay ahead of the curve. He was playing neoclassical when everybody else around here wanted play "Metal Health." We'd practice, and in between us gagging our way through "Born To Be Wild" and "Rock You like A Hurricane," he'd play Bach or Paganini. Then add some thrash/shred lead to a cheesy original that'd have you like, "What the f**k was that?" Then n in his next band, he'd play a Skynyrd lead spot-on. Then a country chicken-pick. Everything but blues... not a big pentatonic fan. But he was so good at everything else, I forgave him. ----->JMS
