Grover Mini-Robomatic tuners?

Post by VENTGtr »

Anyone use Grover Mini-Robomatic tuners?

How well do they stay in tune? Not a dive-bomber by any stretch.

If you mean roTomatics, they are very good as far as a standard tuners go, but they don't compare to locking tuners.

Grover now makes locking rotomatics, if you are concerned about retrofitting old mounting holes. I never used the locking version, so I can't comment on those, but since the string is cut shorter (not wound several times around the peg), they should work much better than standards.

Grover needs to come out with RoBomatic automatic tuners.

LW,

Yep, my typo. Thanks much. Ya, I was thinking about locking tuners,
but I've not normally had problems with the "normal" variety so figured
they'd be fine for this.

Later and thanks again.

Sperzel locking tuners are excellent. we tune to B flat and use relatively light strings and have no problems at all. i would recommend them to anyone looking for a real quality tuning machine. stringing a whole guitar take about 5 minutes as well.

I third it. I use Sperzels on my Gibson Flying V90 and SG. I am considering replacing the goofy "low-mass" stock PRS tuners with a set on my Cu24.
