Favorite song writing duo?

Post by CCdrums »

There are alot of contenders that I won't list, but I'd probably go with Lennon/McCartney followed by Becker/Fagen (Steely Dan). There are also some incredibly talented writers in the country genre, but unfortunately, I am not knowledegable enough about them to give them a vote. I've heard some country songs that have made me cry. They were so well written and so touching. Mostly, they have been written by one person though, so that wouldn't fall under this category anyway.

What say you??

Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell would be my choice, because they write in different styles, and their songs are just genius to me.

I also like Tate and DeGarmo as well, that was a good choice JMichaels.

Even though they wrote most songs separately, Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman wrote some songs together such as These Eyes, Laughing, No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature

Although very 60s pop, Boyce and Hart wrote many hits with very catchy hooks.

Ha! Thanks - and too funny - I was going to amend my post to add Staley and Cantrell - great minds think alike, I guess.... ;)
