FedUP = Badass Metal Band...
we got to play with these guys on saturday, and although we've jammed with em before, i was really impressed with what they're doing right now. tight and killer guitar and bass, nasty vocals and straight up drums. those guys really appear to be hitting their stride. hell up boys!!!

Everytime I see them I'm blown away, they're kick fucking ass. And to top it all off, they're great guys. I've run sound for them 2 or 3 times, and it's easy to make them sound good at FOH because they know what they're doing, so I don't have to pull shit out of my ass to try to make them sound tight. And everytime I've worked with them, they thanked me and told me how good it sounded, and I personally appreciate that. It's amazing how many bands do not thank the sound guy for the work he does for them. So I personally thank you FedUp for being great guys and an even more kick ass band

That last show on Saturday was perfect.

Thanks for all the kind responses! It means a lot to all of us!
We've put much blood, sweat & tears into this project for the last 6 years since it was conceived.
We are just glad it's finally showing some momentum.
It's been an awesome time jamming with some of the greatest people I've ever known!
P.S.
Jason that, Diezel/ENGL setup is WICKED!!!
It cuts so great thru the mix with great prescence & clarity, but it has a distinctive creaminess to it! It sounds awesome with Chad's rig.
I think you may have found "your sound" !
If ya ever get the urge to dump it see me... LMAO!

thx Dave. the stage volume was lower than usual for all the bands, so it was hard for me to get a real good feel for the overall sound of the Diezel cuz it wasn't at that volume where it starts to break "open" as much as i like, y'know? i thought it was pretty badass, but its nice to have another set of ears for contrast. a buddy told me he thought the Diezel sounded "exactly like how you play; it sounds like YOU." another guy said it was the best sounding head he ever heard, especially next to a Mesa Dual cuz they complimented each other so well. i was worried about Mesa overload before; it was hard to pick out the different parts Chad and i were playing. i thought there was a lot more fidelity. I want to sound like Slash if he played in the death metal band Skinless, as ridiculous as that sounds... glassy and refined, but heavy as hell with ton of gain and clarity. the Engl cab helps make it really tight with thumping low end. lets do it again soon- hell up!!!

awww shucks... thx Paul! you know, i can live with the idea of never making it big or getting signed as long as i know i always put out a professional, well thought out product that was as good if not better than anything national that i ever found inspiration in or enjoyed at any musical level. professional bass and guitar tone is a BIG part of that equation. great songs is another. i would like to think we have both.

Amen to that! Sadly, I think a lot of people lose sight of those things.Bloodsong wrote:awww shucks... thx Paul! you know, i can live with the idea of never making it big or getting signed as long as i know i always put out a professional, well thought out product that was as good if not better than anything national that i ever found inspiration in or enjoyed at any musical level. professional bass and guitar tone is a BIG part of that equation. great songs is another. i would like to think we have both.
