If you are into Southern rock, the Outlaws Live is smokin.

If you like Jazz, the alum released in 1969 called Swiss Movement by Les McCann and Eddie Harris is a must. Went to see Govt Mule about 4 years ago and they covered a great song from that called Compared to What.

Judas Priest - Unleashed in the East
Ozzy - Tribute to Randy Rhoads
Iron Maiden - Live After Death
Scorpions - World Wide Live
The Doors - Absolutely Live
King Diamond - In Concert
Black Sabbath - Live at Last (I know the production sucked cause it was a bootleg, but it captured the rawness of the band at their peak in 1975.)

I love live albums. I really like bands that can play what's on their studio albums. Some of my favorites...

Kiss Alive (Got me into "metal" when I was 11 years old)

Led Zep, Song Remains (Awesome)

Overkill, Wrecking Your Neck (Slams from beginning to end!)

Skynyrd, One More From The Road

Outlaws, Bring Em Back Alive

Zep, How The West Was Won

Overkill, Wrecking Everything (I'm in it! )

There's probably more...

I can think of three right now. Slipknot's 9.0 double live disc, Tool's Salival and Queensryche's Operation Livecrime.

I agree with many of the live records mentioned.

I have a Kansas album that was a Coca Cola radio concert double album that was not for sale with the last tour of the original six members and it is fantastic and was not doctored up. Of course, they were always a great live band.

I also have a Loverboy live radio promotional concert album that is really good.

What about DVDs of live performances?

If you like them, see if the November 11, 1975 performance of Lynyrd Skynyrd on the BBC's "Old Grey Whistle Test" is online. Not only is the Music fanfreakintastic, but when someone in the audience yells something about Neil Young, I find Ronnie's demeanor and response priceless. 8)

My children and I also enjoy the more recent DVD of the Doobie Brothers' "Live At Wolf Trap", from 2004. They're still "rockin' down the highway!"

Seriously, you should be ashamed to call yourself punk.
The Subhumans do anything but suck. All those bands you named in your thread are anything but punk.Fat Records is the shittest label ever.Besides Epitaph. You need to do your homework son.Seriously
Pop music isn't punk.
Sorry it had to be said.
You need to look into the history and influence of British punk.Or American for that fact.
Next to Crass and Discharge, the Subhumans are right up there.
Clete, I take this with a certain grain of salt because I know you like good music. You're like an old punk wise man.

I do think they deserve the rep they have as a legendary band. I just prefer early American punk over the old stuff from over seas. Stiff Little Fingers is an exception (but they were from Ireland...close enough!)

Those bands I listed were bands that I discovered in my youth...they got me through the best and worst of times....along with the old school stuff that I love too. All were bands I got drunk to when I was 15. Skated to the albums (poorly) you get the idea...
