Songs from the Dark Side

Post by ZappasXWife »

Last night I saw some friends perform that PFloyd song Brain Damage, and we watched this guy in the bar go absolutely nuts...like to the Dark Side of the Moon. I thought I was at the Altamont Stones show and was a little frightened, yet entertained. Was wondering, has anyone had an experience performing a song that really brought out the worst in someone, and of course, what was the song?

Go to Victory Lane and watch Ed. Just play something rockin' thats on their jukebox. Do not ever record video's while Ed is there. They will end up as "The very best of Ed". And for your own sake, do NOT set up over the Victory Lane Logo on the floor.

Pink Floyd's "Brain Damage/Eclipse" seems to do that to people. It will be up on "JP's Corner" shortly, but when Pink Floyd tribute The Wall played at City Limits a few weeks ago, two lunatics on the dance floor, a guy and a girl, started shoving each other. The guy shoved the chic, who fell on the stage. Both soon wound up in the parking lot, where he allegedly gave her a knuckle sandwich. Nice.

And any band who has played Q94's Harley giveaway the past few years can tell you about "Wolfie." Just ask Hair Force One, they saw him in his glory this past Saturday!

Oh yeah. We know all about Wolfie now. I was trying everything in my power not to laugh while I was singing. Could you hear any breakup in my voice JP? If so, I was probably stifling a laugh. LoL That guy is a riot.

My father once played a gig where a guy slashed his wrists. I think it was in Clearfield.

Yea well it was probably a Ryan Adams or 'Bright Eyes' song that made the poor guy off himself. Those guys write some pretty depressing stuff.

Ryan Adams is awesome....

We played a pretty dive bar many years ago and some guy was fresh out of prison apparently. We wre playing Long Haired Country Boy and the dude started doing one arm push ups. Then went and grabbed a beer and stood on his head against a wall and tried to chug it.. threw up!!! and then got tossed. It was weird alright!
