I couldn't find a pic of my first guitar, but it was a red Kay Starter Series. It had one bridge humbucker, that was pretty damn hot for a cheap guitar.
My amp was a Gorilla GG-20 like this one. Except the 'Tube Stack" on mine was always on 10.

My first guitar was an 80's Washburn. I don't know what model. It had a scalloped fretboard, and the worst tone of any guitar I've ever played. My first amp was some no name POS that distorted with the volume on 2.

mine was a sears probobly around 73-74 it was really hard to play and quite discouraging. it looked really cool though kind of a red and black burst. with a solid state amp. the action was just dreadful it actually hurt to play it. so, at around ten or eleven i lost intrest cuz of having crappy gear + i got a dirtbike. i wish i could find a pic of it, there was a fire at my moms house while i was in basic training and we lost alot of that stuff.
That is so cool. My first guitar was an Audition from Woolworth's in Johnstown I got it in 1966 for my 10th birthday. It farted on the 1st string, 3rd fret. Every time I play a G it was awful but I loved that guitar since it was my first one. My first amp was a 007 guitar amp that might have been about 10 - 15 watts and looked just like this one.
First bass amp is a Crate BRX100. My apologies go out to all of the bandmates I've had over the years who had to put up with me playing through such a horrid amp. It was between that and an Ampeg BA115. While I'm not a huge fan of the Ampeg sound, in hindsight, I should have went with that because I would at least have had a professional sounding combo amp.

My first set was a Strat Pack from '99. I've still got the Strat that came with it. Will get the amp back soon. I lent it out so someone would have something to practice through and haven't gotten it back yet... Damn!
After that, my second guitar was a Squier Stagemaster. I HATE the Floyd Rose trem on it (and anyone who has a FR Trem system would know why), but this guitar STILL has such a great tone! I need to find a few of the bridge holding pieces (the little black chunks of metal in the bridge). I might start putting that thing to use again. It's got a great sound and feel for a Squier
The bass was short-lived because I was a little runt at 13, and I was too much of a sissy for such a big bass. Weeks after getting the bass, I purchased a transparent red Kramer Duke from either Todd's New and Used in Tyrone or VJ's in Altoona. (I forget which.)
My Duke was an awesome 32" scale headless bass w/ an aluminum neck and a Schaller humbucker.
my first bass was a mid 80's peavey t-40 and a dean markley 1x10 practice amp. my first electric guitar was an ibanez ex, and the first guitar and amp that i ever bought with my own money is a prs tremonti se and a crate glx1200 solid state head and halfstack.

Yeah Dwayne, I know what you mean about the frets but after I refretted my Audition, the action was great. I still use it. Probably my best action guitar.
I don't have pictures of either, but my first bass (which I don't even remember the brand name of) was purchased at Music Mart in Ebensburg, and with it I had a 10w Gorilla amp.
No pics, but my first guitar was Lyon by Washburn Telecaster copy. My first guitar amp was a Sunn Beta Lead 4x10 combo, I still have the head out of that amp.
I dont remember what my first amp was but I do remember my first guitar. when I started it was in my Grandpaps house it was a old silvertone that was my Dads. that thing was hard to play tough to get a not out of it but I worked with it until I proved my self.(if you could play that thing you could play anything) then my Dad handed me down his aria and that was a big improvment
I got my first guitar in 1962. It was a Montgomery Ward Airline with 2 pickups and a single cutaway. The amp was a little 20-watt Carvin with an 8 inch speaker that I bought from a friend for $20.
My first professional rig was a white Fender Jazmaster and a light tan Fender Bandmaster with a tan grill with sparkle in it. I bought them both in 1963 at Ricche Music when it was in down town Altoona. It was probably a '62 Jazzmaster because it was used. The amp was new.
My first guitar was a Stella Harmony acoustic... my first electric was a no-name from Murphy Mart in Huntingdon. First amp was a Kalamazoo Model One tube combo... my brother still has it, and I understand they are a classic harmonica amp, so I'm begging it off him.----->JMS

WOW! I accidently bought one of these on Ebay last year, but unmodified. I paid $65 for it. I feel it needs a zero fret. It's a mess unless you capo at the first fret, then everything is good.
