What I would like to know is why these fine American boys are walking around an ctive War zone without a firearm, of course they could be a liberal red diaper douche who feels that RADICAL Islam is a peaceful religion that is willing to forgive and accept others..... My heartfelt sorrow for his friends and family, but for Sanity's sake GEt A GUN. It's better to die on your feet fighting than on your knees begging...
Just my personal thoughts as distorted as they may be.

I've about had it with this crap, I'm tired of worrying about world opinion, I'm tired worrying about gas prices, I'm tired of worrying about the welfare some of these less radical people who don't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of and most of all I'm tired of seeing American citizen on CNN sans a head.

In Roman times a Roman Citizen could walk ANYWHERE on the planet knowing that he need but utter two words to ensure his safety, Civus Romanus (I am a citzen of Rome) and if anybody messed with him they would have to face the legions.

I think we should bring that back and start putting the smak down on some of these animals, international politics be damned.

I'm normally a peaceful man; but if we catch these guys, I suggest a long torture session followed by their beheading. The entrepreneur in me says that we should make it a pay-view event,; we could make mad cash. Of course, I would need to get a big black and white fro.

Now really, I know that the legions went and kicked ass but, if we woke up tomorrow morning and there was NO middle east left would it be all that bad? I mean who would really care. That's a liberal opinion! I guess the worse part would be all those innocent women and children would get to go be with Allah!

Paul, I completely and whole heartedly agree!!

Earlier today, Saudi police said that they killed the men responsible for this act in a gun battle. And, from what I understand - the Saudi's are posting the murderers pictures (of them dead) on the internet!

Way to go Saudi Arabia!!!! Fuck the Politically Correct crowd!!

Finally people are starting to realize the brutality of the people that hate us. GWB needs to step it up, and forget about the PC crap that prevents him from doing what is right! We need to let the Saudi's know that we mean business and that they need to start protecting American workers that run thier oil fields.

Drop a bomb.. nuke the fkers. Sure, some innocents will die, but is it not better to kill one innocent and spare 100 more like it?

And then everyone can deal with fallout, immense floods/tidal waves caused by environmental climate changes, viral mutations caused by radioactivity, and of course, nuclear winter.

I don't mean to sound condesending, but when people start to use nukes as the answer I wish they would realize that tossing neutrons into nucleli is a lot different than dropping napalm.

Well, it was only a matter of time before this happened again. They are realizing that we're not stepping up to the plate here and taking full advantage of that. When was the last time you heard Nick Berg's name mentioned? Already forgotten by most and now another. I'm waiting to hear the same "(insert American name here) wasn't our responisibility" line again from our Gov't. Until we set a clear example and stand up for our own citizens our poor men will continue to die.

Hey.. we had a good ol' time with Japan didn't we? I still have four out right appendages, a lump on my shoulders and a nose on my face.
I don't know.. I think it's worth it.

And.. Nick's death was sad. I'm confused whether I'm disturbed about it happening or that so many internet sites have it up for entertainment now. (complete with their own little sub titles!). Nick was told to leave. The rest were too. Yes, america should be pissed. Fk politically correct. Go over there and kick their shrieky voice, llama humping asses. But don't blame our gov too much Jimmy. They were told to get out for their own protection.

Will Al-Jazeera show the pics of the dead murderers? Nope. You wanna cut the head off the snake, a surgical strike on their studio would make the propaganda screen go dark, and help put the Middle East where they want to be... the 12th Century.
We treat the Arab media like they have the same right to a free press as we do, but they simply do not. Many millions have died defending our Constitution and it's guaranteed freedoms, but they don't even WANT that. As it stands, we are aiding and abetting our enemies by allowing these media outlets free reign to keep the propaganda outlets up and running.
As far as nuking the area, I think a bit of apocalyptic saber-rattling might go a long way in settling the bad guys. They've been exploiting their own people since time began, and force is something they understand fully, so the possibility of their elimination could conceivably reach them. That was the driving idea behind the Cold War, which, in case you all weren't aware, we won. Mutually assured destruction, except in this case we could viably promise about a thousand casualties to one. It's not a politically correct plan, but cutting off someone's head and photographing it for political gain isn't very PC, either. We own the big f*cking stick, and sometimes you have to get it out and swing it around, and threaten to crack somebody's skull, otherwise it's just lip service. I'm getting pretty sick of this sh*t. I still say bowing to Mecca would take on a whole new significance if it wasn't there anymore.------>JMS

Yes Esa, Nick Berg was told to leave, and he scheduled a flight to get the hell out of there, however he was detained, missed the flight and the rest is history. It's proven now that he tried to get out but was cut short.

I guess I'm just pissed that it's that easy to write somebody off. "We warned him and he was no longer our responsibility" is just a weak and very apathetic answer wouldn't ya say? I'm sure his family would agree. I would hope my country has my back a little better than that. Your suggestion was to drop a bomb and mine isn't too far off but if our Gov't just acts like it's no big deal then what??

We need to re-light the fire under our asses and bring back good ol' American Spirit and go over there and kick a little more ass, and not in such a P.C. manner either! They are killing innocent American suvillians and we're too concerned with better treatment of Iraqi prisoners! It's just bullshit.

fine, then let's drop some napalm !

You're right, of course and I don't think anybody REALLY wants to start throwing nukes around but as a measure of frustration it's an apt enough metaphor.

The whole situation makes me feel like Sam Jackson, cleaning out the back of the car in "Pulp Fiction", listening to Travolta bitch about HIS racecar being in the red, know what I mean

Jimmy, I think that is the first time we've agreed on anything political. It bugs the hell out of me that he's forgotten and left as an internet odacity to go see for amusement now. I don't know if I got sick feelings over having just seen the beheading (i'd missed it on tv and put curiosity got the better of me) or the fact that the person showing it to me grinned and told me it was like they were carving a pumpkin.

It's like 911... the rage is gone. The massive Patriotism is gone. We now have collectors plates for it. Where did that surge of feelings go!?

Little Boy and Fat Man were only 20 kilotons; today's nukes make those look like mere firecrackers. Sure we could nuke the Middle East, but then the next time with get into a confrontation with another country, (i.e. North Korea, Pakistan, ect.) they will see we aren't hesitant with using nuclear arms, so don't be surprised if a few ICBMs get flung at us first. I don't want to sound like some kind of tree-hugging peacenik who's watched Dr. Strangelove too many times, but as I said earlier, there's a whole new avenue of environmental, political, social, and biological consequences we have to deal with when people decide they want to split atoms.

I agree with your last post, though; it seems that people don't care anymore. People say they support the troops, and what-not, but how many have put an effort into it? I mean, in WWII we had ration stamps. Nowadays, how many people have bought a more fuel efficient vehicle so we don't have to rely on Middle Eastern oil?

But I agree with Jim. This whole thing seems like a bad sideshow act. I opted to not watch the first video, and I think I'll do the same with this. The terrorist want us to watch this stuff; that way they can prove their little point. It's like Marilyn Manson; people love the shock factor. I'm very cynical about human nature; it makes me wonder why I want to become psychologist.
