Am I the only one attempting to be at Adler Athletic Complex to see/hear former President Clinton at 2 p.m. tomorrow? (He's supposed to be there by 2:30, according to my daughter. :) )

For the good of our Nation, may the BEST person win in November! :D

 Unreal...and yet you have a quote from RFK, a man who I am sure a lot of hateful people thought the same thing about. Good men (and women  ) doing nothing and evil triumphing, indeed! Below is a link to one of RFK's greatest speeches. Much of what he said over 40 years ago applies today, but Hope does spring, and ripple, eternally...

Re: explanation

Post by SpecialAgentRex »

Marshall Blue wrote:Most intellegence experts agree that the the US had Bin Laden targeted at the end of Clinton's second term and the information was excellent. Clinton was asked by the CIA and armed services if they could inact a plan to extract him or kill him. Remember they knew Bin Laden was responsible for so many bombings and the USS Cole. Clinton said no. His later explanation was that, if the missed or if there was civilian deaths or if Bin Laden wasn't present, he (Bill) thought the repercussions were not worth the plus side of Bin Laden's death.

Years later, the intellegence community can verify that Bin Laden was where they said he was and he would be dead or captured had they acted. The same people say that Clinton was dealing with the Monica crap and was completely distracted and didn't want a disasterous or failed attempt on Bin Laden to be used by those who were looking to impeach him. There is no question that the whole Monica issue had a dramatic effect on his decsion making process with respect to getting Bin Laden.

Remember that other administrations had gone after similar individual with military action. Some were successful, some failed but Presidents had survived the failures. And Bill didn't have any qualms about bombing Kosovo earlier or sending in his wife to visit and handle snipers and sniper fire (couldn't resist that one).

We can't say with complete certainty that we would have gotten OBL had we acted. But its not really denialbe that the fallout over Monica definately influenced Clinton not to act.

IMO his lying over a blowjob in the Oval Office directly affected this country. If you want to get knobbed behind your wife's back, don't do it in the Oval Office. Our country is too important for that. If you do and get caught, grow some sack and come clean. Don't drag your country, your wife and family and possibly national security throught the mud.
I agree! Gee, Clinton purgures himself -- and nothing happens? I'd like to see anyone else commit purgury and not go to jail.

And what about Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey, Vince Foster, Ron Brown with a bullet in his head after a "supposed" plane crash? The list goes on. Anyone who gets in the Clinton's way ends up dead.

George W isn't the reason gas prices are so high. We've got tons of oil here and in Alaska. But these tree-huggers and environmentalists put a stop to building new oil refineries. We are just now starting to build more refineries, but it's going to take years before we see the positivie effect (by then a Dem will be in office and they'll take all the credit).

Technically, he will always be "President Clinton," not necessary to say "former." Even Nixon was permitted to use the title after his shenanigans.

Of course, that means the retard in there now will also have the distinction.

I live across the street from Adler so I'm gonna walk over to check it out.... Maybe Bill will come over for a few beers afterwards? hehe..

Not to be too Geeky but the cool thing was listening to the secret service and the campus police on the scanner earlier... (do I need to get a life or what)?

I wouldn't think you would be able to listen to the Secret Service on a scanner. Kinda takes the whole 'Secret' right out of it...a little unnerving too.

I can have very little hope with any of these three in office. Sorry, I can not understand the thinking of the people on the left. It makes no sense to me whatsoever.

SHEESH! If we had ever met, ya coulda brought me a folding chair to sit on...I went there over an hour after my daughter called and told me I'd better go or I'd most likely not get a seat...I didn't and had to stand in towards the back of a loooong line. :( The disc that went out in my lower back roughly 10 years ago (Pressing on the S1 nerve root.), has been again nagging at me lately, and it's REALLY bitching at me right now, but I'm hopeful to have some relief soon. Oh well, it's ONLY pain, and worth it to have seen, heard and shook the hand :D of one of this Country's greatest Presidents! If Hillary is elected and enabled to do all he said she would like to accomplish today, as Bill said (Chelsea apparently said it first. :P ), she will be even BETTER as President than he was. :D Although, campaign promises are one thing, Bills that get passed through both the House and Senate are another entirely.

I can't understand how a person who says the thinking of the  'left' makes no sense whatsoever quotes RFK, but it's ALL good! Peace, man. :)

Actually a lot did happen to Clinton over the Monica affair. He was impeached by the House and that's a major deal. The Senate did not vote to remove him from office. He was also disbarred in Arkansas. You don't put sitting Presidents in jail especially over lying about a knobber. Even Nixon didn't come close to bars for all he did. But if Bill came clean up front, none of this would have happened.

Donna, you do realize that I enjoy messing with you. I've been not speaking my mind simply because I'm in the minority, and no one really tries to look at it from my point of view. Anyway I do get much more entertainment messing with ya!

OK As for the Secret Service stuff on the scanner, I'm VERY sure I was not hearing EVERY frequency/conversation, but there are frequencies set aside for combined use special events etc etc... So Campus, Altoona, Logan police, and SS could communicate with each other... Even then there are times when they can scramble parts of a conversation.... for example they'll ask for a childs name or phone number and you'll hear static instead of the info.. (must limit the transmission distance or they'd scramble all the time right?)

I dunno know I'm not that big a scanner geek.. just bought one so I know to put the assault rifles away cause the neighbors have called the police... It's not against any laws to shoot in my own woods but I'd rather not push it... hehe..

As for the chair Yankee Rose ... I would have gladly let you park in the driveway and brought you a chair, beer, chips, whatever !! hehe....

I poked my head out the back door and saw the crowd and didn't go but my next door neighbor Bill Garmen who's a mailman went and shook Bill Clintons hand and got his name on the front page of the Altoona Mirror after a reporter interviewed him...

Okay I see where you were coming from, I changed my signature for you.

As for RFK - the Democrats of the past were not as liberal minded as these Liberal Democrats of today. (i.e., JFK vs. Teddy Kennedy - huge difference)
