Airborne

Here's a band with a song I really like, Spin magazine compairs them to AC/DC which they are totally cool with because they grew up on them and feels it's an honor to be thought of this way!

Check em out!

Bob, I can see the comparison, the singer kind of puts me in the mind of Bon Scott on a way. Simple music, yet very effective just like AC/DC.

Good stuff there, thanks for sharing.

They definitely went to A&M University, and I'm not talking Texas...more like Angus & Malcom.

Call it an AC/DC rip-off if you want, but I call it paying tribute. The singer did a good job of not sounding too much like either...he actually put me in the mindset of the singer from Jackyl.

Overall, I like it...and I'll listen to the album again.

And your right..I hear the Jackyl too... Take Jackyl's singer, AC/DC's back up, mix in alittle Jet's style.... I want the album!

I agree, kicks ass!

It definitely has that Aussie edge; I'm hearing Bon, Brian, and even some Angry Anderson from Rose Tattoo in the vocals, and clear Angus influence on the guitar. And I hear the Jackyl comparison as well. If the rest of their stuff is that good, I'll be investing in Airborne's album.
