Anyone have experience with any of the following and what are your thoughts,
good and bad, on any/all?
Zoom GFX (Any of these: G92TT, GFX8, etc.)
Boss GT6-GT8
Line 6 (POD X3 LIVE or PODXT
Korg AX3000G (Or any of their other recent stuff)
Know Jimi Hatt likes the Line6 stuff, and I like my Line6 amp, but there's something
about the durability of Boss and since their Overdrives have the best sound, I kind
of lean towards them for this kind of stuff. Zoom seems to get great reviews, plus,
John Ashton been using them (First GFX5, now GFX8) on tours for the last many
years and has said great things about them.
Specifically, wondering about how the models sound, how well built they are, how
feasible it is to use external pedals with them (Some MPs don't like it one bit), how
well the Wah works on those with them, etc.
Between considering getting something, and that we need more GTR tech talk goin',
figured I'd expand on the last, similar query on the multiprocessor.

I have used the Boss GT3 and GT6. They both were awesome.
I wanted to try the Line 6 X3 Live.
I have a line 6 audio interface for my computer, and i really love the Line 6 tones.

Hold off on the X3 Live for awhile...they still seem to having issues with it.
I've used the XT Live for years and was always happy with it. I just recently bought a tube amp so the POD isn't part of my live rig anymore. However, it's very useful as a recording tool and used this way provides some really nice tones if you take the time to meticulously sort thru all the options in the Line 6 Edit interface. I record stuff using Cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro 3 and what I like best about it is it automatically recognizes the POD.
To me, the POD seems to function best this way...as a recording tool. Now that I use tube live, I see processors for what they are. They have their uses but I wouldn't use it live now if you paid me.

Right now, I use the VF1 (comparable to the GT-3) rack box in my live rig because it can do a lot more live with MIDI control. As with most Boss stuff, the factory patches suck, but its very tweakable.
I had a GT-8 that I was using for rehearsal, but I sold it like a dropping stock when they announced the GT-10. Once again, the factory patches sucked, but its very tweakable, although the amp knobs were pretty much useless. The GT-10 looks like they have really improved the programming interface. I didn't use it live because it only has one control footswitch which would mean changing banks all the time.
I tried the original Pod, but found little use for it. The models were iffy, the effects were few, and the kidney bean packaging was a joke for live use. I haven't tried any since then, but the effects list hasn't grown much as far as types of effects available-only more variations on basic ones.
At Harmony-Central, the GT-8 and the XT Live reviews come in pretty close. Its too early to tell, but the X3 Live is getting lower marks, probably because of the aforementioned problems.
The GT-10 becomes available this Friday and it looks like I will get one. They added an extra control footswitch and a 2nd model/FX chain per patch that should minimize the need to change banks all the time. Of course, there is still a POS AC-DC wire wart to deal with, but I'll just have to make a surrogate that is stageworthy.
Deja Vu: With the sound quality pretty much equal, I'll pick the Boss's vastly larger number of quality effects like intelligent harmony, guitar synth and all those Boss pedals.
