Iron Maiden Concert!!!!

Post by Soulseeker »

Well, Just wanted to say that I am going to Toronto this weekend after we play Saturday night to see Iron Maiden. Its a life-long dream come true, Im just glad that I get to see them play before they kill over, lol. So I guess Im pretty lucky all of a sudden, I got a girlfriend, plus she bought me Iron Maiden Tickets for my birthday, And I get to see Iron maiden play, so thats 3 in one year, im liking it. So all I really wanted to say here is that for all you Maiden fans, Im gonna go see them. So eat your hearts out, j/k. I will get something up here after I get back and let you know how it was. I hear that this is a good show/tour, so im very hopeful!! Rock on!

i don't think so right now... but you will soon.

you might now though -- not sure if the legislation was passed and the grace period of not needing one has expired. I do know that a birth certificate or identification is always a plus.

it used to be so easy...

"Welcome to Canada. What is your purpose for entering Canada?"

"Vacationing"

"How long will you be in Canada?"

"Five days"

"Thank you. Enjoy your visit!"

Right now, not if you cross by land. Flying in does require one. Soon, (unannounced so far, but supposed to be by this Summer), you will need a passport regardless of air, sea or land travel.
... and then the wheel fell off.

Because, Wadsworth Douchington V, for some people on rockpage... going to Toronto may be just as quick of a trip, or in some cases, a shorter one than so going to Philadelphia, or Hershey... depending on where they are playing.

This mostly applies for somebody if they live in Elk, or Clearfield, or surrounding counties.

maybe

i'll use 2 towns in the region to illustrate my point.. Clearfield, and St Marys. All used by mapquest

Clearfield to Philadelphia: 4 hrs 8 mins - 254 miles
Clearfield to Toronto, On: 5 hours 4 mins - 258 miles

it's an extra hour for 4 miles further? I doubt it...

St Mary's to Philadelphia: 4 hrs 46 mins - 287 miles
St Mary's to Toronto: 4 hours 16 mins - 222 miles

again, only 30 mins less time driving for 65 miles less driving? I doubt it...

you figure both of those are at speed limit... which nobody does -- and it can be easily assumed that for both, Toronto is just as quick... maybe quicker than Philadelphia... thats all im sayin lol

I just dont like when people say something like "use your eyes and read again" about a post when the stuff they are referring to wasnt there until after i saw it and they edited it with new content. Thats all, Tapeworm Titties. never knew Toronto was that close, btw.

yeah dude, Toronto is just a hop, skip, and jump away. I've been there a few times... last time was November of 2004. Canada rules!

Well, they are playing 2 shows in the US. California and New Jersey. It takes me 6 hours to get to New Jersey and 5 hours and 45 minutes to get to canada. Plus my seats are like 30 feet away from the stage, If I was to go to Jersey the best I could find was danm near nose bleed seats and they were going for $800 each the last time I looked. And besides, who would pass up a trip out of the country with your woman, should work out well for me, haha.

The Air Canada Centre in Toronto, where Iron Maiden is playing is a very nice venue. It is near lots of other cool sites too and within walking distance of Jeff Healey's Roadhouse.

I saw Iron Maiden in Johnstown at the War Memorial Arena back in the early 80's on their first tour. They opened for Whitesnake and Judas Priest. Great show. All the bands were very good.

I've seen Maiden three times, including that 1981 show at the War Memorial with Whitesnake and Priest. That was when Paul DiAnno was singing for them, and one of few times I've ever seen the opening act get called back up to do an encore.

The other two times I saw Maiden were at Star Lake; the last one being the year they did Ozzfest. I'd be up for seeing them again!
