fyi... Although the topic may imply it but this thread has nothing to do with homosexuality.

Three guys went to a hotel. The cost for a room was $30. So each guy decided they would chip in ten bucks each and they pay the hotel clerk. The men happily journey on to their hotel room. The clerk then realizes that he overcharged the men so he gives his bellboy 5 one dollar bills. The bellboy realizes that he cannot evenly split 5 dollars for three guys so the bellboy makes things simple and simply keeps 2 dollars for him self.
The bellboy knocks on the hotel door of the three guys. He then gives each guy a one dollar bill back.


How much did each guy pay?

Apparently they each paid $9.00. They each paid ten towards the $30, but should have only paid $25. The Bell Boy ripped them off by keeping their other two bucks and they ended up paying $28 for a $25 room.

I remember that problem!!!, but you missed one line at the end: After giving back a dollar, each man would have paid $9.00. 9 x 3 =27(each man) 27+2= 29(the bellhop kept) What happen to the other dollar? The whole thing was to throw you off and think of adding the wrong numbers. There's like a whole site dedicated to math problems like that...Brain tease?... Thats a good problem tho!....

You are breaking the basic rule in math (order of precedence) that you have to do multiplication and division before you do addition or subtraction. You are subtracting the $1 from $10 to get $9 before you multiply by 3.

Is 1 + 3 x 5 equal to 20 or 16? The answer is 16, but then you can't say "why is 16 divided by 5 not equal to 4"?

back in '05 NOFX had a thing called the 7'' of the month club (yeah kids vinyl). each record had part of a joke on the run off groove area. you had to collect all the records to put the joke together (and a bad ass poster from the inserts).

it starts off..."a rabbi, a republican, and a punk walk into a bar..."
