I'd have to clear out some extra shelf space in the basement...

And hey, it's $3 million, but you do get $10 back if you use the Ebay Mastercard!

Im fuh cereal here.. overdraft on your debit card... 30 dollar overdraft charge. 3 million dollar negative balance... sell the music collection for 10 million, and turn a 7 million dollar profit.

He worked for radio stations...wonder how many of these records came at a "five finger discount"? How does one get this many albums...millions and millions!?

In the old days records were given to the DJ's, not the stations.
So they would play them on the air. So i wonder how many agents handed him albums to play.

yeah, he advertises "1,000,000 songs". i have an orignal, never been played "robert johnson, king of the delta blues singers" i bought from johnny a few years back for $100.00. my plan is to give it a spin once i get my basement all finished. turn the lights down low, pour myself something to sip on, couple hits and kick the recliner back and let it rip.

man, i can't wait for that day. hopefully by summer!

he's gota ton of ray charles stuff. really cool!

I'd really like to start building a vinyl collection once I graduate from college and find more spacious quarters. A quality turn table and a hookah are the first two things on my agenda. I don't think anything will beat listening to some vintage Santana or Miles Davis on vinyl while enjoying fine Turkish flavored tobacco. :)

P.s. I think that I'm going to start a thread about hookahs.

I have a big vinyl collection of between 5,000 and 6,000 albums. If anybody is looking for something on vinyl, let me know, I might have it or know somebody who has a copy.

Man...this guy was offered $28 million over nine years ago and he turned it down. Then he puts it on ebay for $3 million and it sells for $3,002,000 and change...that was a bad business decision he made nine years ago!

That came out to less than $1.00 per record or CD. Not bad for the person who bought it.

I don't think he was selling it primarily for financial reasons. He wanted a museum or a smilar organization to buy it. I think that he has a serious passion for the collection and wants to be sure that it's enjoyed by people who will appreciate it after he's gone.

We need more people who respect music, especially musical media like that, in this world.
