New Grimm Guitarist Announced!

Post by grimmbass »

The wait is over! After a long and arduous search, the Grimm is proud to announce the addition of Scott Botteicher as our new lead guitarist! Scott has a long and distinguished lineage in the local music scene, including studio work, solo recordings projects and a number of bands, including Aushkriek and The Ninth Academy. In addition to having strong roots in metal and progressive genres, Scott is a trained jazz/fusion player with a wide variety of musical interests.Scott is currently working hard with Otto to master our current 3 album catalog, as well as non-recorded material. We hope to begin phasing him into the fold by mid-summer, with a full transition by this fall. Rest assured that the Grimm will remain completely active during this process (stop out and see Otto while you can).So as we wish Otto well in his future endeavors, please join us in a big "hell yeah" in welcoming Scott at 25% of The Grimm! New material, a new sound, and big things lie ahead for us…we hope to have you along for the ride!

Love and kisses,

Da Grimm

OMG, talk about finding a perfect match! Otto will be greatly missed, but this gives great hope for the future of the Grimm. Congratulations to Scott for getting the gig, and congratulations to the Grimm for continuing to harness nothing but the finest brainpower around!

As a Grimmette! Let me be the 1st to welcome Scott to our beloved family! And to let Otto (Kirk to me) know that you will be very sadly missed! Although I'm sure you will still be around, or at least you better be!!! Moving on.... I hope that this transition goes SMOOTHLY for Bob, Kent, Dom, and Scott and I wish you all of my BEST!

Can't wait to hear the new sound! So ON-WARD and UP-WARD GRIMM Guys! And as you all know - if you need ANYTHING, (especially if you need someone to listen in - hint! hint! ) I am a phone call away!

Much Love Guys!
Best Of Luck!

Awesome, Scott's an amazing guitar player. He's my uncle and he introduced me to the wonderful world of playing guitar. I'm glad to see that he's found a band after all these years since the ninth academy. Rock on guys, congrats Scott.
