Patriots are gonna kill them. They are playing on a nice field with no wind to effect their play. The pats have been there before, they are very confident and the Giants will have to play a perfect game to win. I would like to see an upset, but it's not gonna happen.

Sorry Rob but I still have to disagree with you on this one. I think the Giants will be bringing their A game and I think the turn out will be

Giants 28
Patriots 24

I just cant pull for the Patriots. They are the only team in the league that I hate more than the Steelers.

Congrats to all y'all Patriots haters...I'd feel the same way if this had been, say, Dallas or the Jags. :)

I can only hope that the 72 Dolphins were waiting in the Patriots locker room, and laughing at them!
Videos destroyed the vitality of rock and roll. Before that, music said, "Listen to me." Now it says, "Look at me."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

How's the old saying go? Cheaters never win? Yeah, that's it.

"The Perfect Pats." The phrase has a new, warm and fuzzy meaning to it this morning whereas before last night's incredible game, those words made me wanna freakin hurl. I enjoyed that dismantling of the "high-powered Pats offense" almost as much as I would've if the Steelers would've won the damn thing.

Screw those cheating bastards from Belicheat to fag-boy-superstar-can-do-no-wrong-QB (I wonder if his supermodel girlfriend will be shopping for a "winner" this week) all the way down to the effing water boy. And speaking of Belicheat, what a classless schmuck leaving the field before things were wrapped. Putz. Reminded me a lot of some guy two years ago **coughcoughBigFatMikeHolmgrencoughcough** who cried like a baby and left the field after losing. Show some class, for Chrissake.

Speaking of ...

Specter wants NFL to explain why it let New England cheating tapes be destroyed

WASHINGTON (AP) — With the Super Bowl in the books, a senior Republican senator says he wants the NFL to explain why it destroyed evidence of the New England Patriots cheating scandal.

“I am very concerned about the underlying facts on the taping, the reasons for the judgment on the limited penalties and, most of all, on the inexplicable destruction of the tapes,” said Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., in a Thursday letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

Specter, the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, said the matter could put the league’s antitrust exemption at risk.

“Their antitrust exemption has been on my mind for a long time,” he said in a Capitol Hill news conference.

The matter may not compare to the CIA’s destruction of interrogation tapes, Specter said, but he added, “I do believe that it is a matter of importance. It’s not going to displace the stimulus package or the Iraq war, but I think the integrity of football is very important, and I think the National Football League has a special duty to the American people — and further the Congress — because they have an antitrust exemption.”

“It’s a league matter,” New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick said Friday during a news conference. “I don’t know anything about it.”

The Patriots lost Sunday in Super Bowl XLII against the New York Giants.

NFL security confiscated a video camera and tape from a Patriots employee during New England’s 38-14 victory over the New York Jets. The employee was accused of aiming his camera at the Jets’ defensive coaches as they signaled to players on the field.

Goodell fined Belichick $500,000, the maximum amount, and docked the team $250,000 and a first-round draft pick. It was the biggest fine ever for a coach and the first time in NFL history a first-round draft pick has been confiscated as a penalty.

After its investigation, the NFL said it destroyed all materials it received from the Patriots.

In a Jan. 31 letter to Specter which the senator released Friday, Goodell said the tapes and notes on the investigation were destroyed to ensure that the Patriots “would not secure any possible competitive advantage as a result of the misconduct.”

Specter said the explanation “absolutely makes no sense at all,” and blasted the commissioner for failing to respond to his inquiries on the matter for more than two months. Goodell said in his letter that he just became aware of Specter’s questions Thursday.

“There’s a credibility issue here,” Specter said.

He stopped short of charging a coverup, but warned that the judiciary panel may want to probe the matter.

The New York Times first reported on Specter’s letter.

Was that the last sack where they blew him back about ten yards or so? Doesn't matter, I enjoyed each and every time that cocky asshole was introduced to the turf.

Here's one of my favorite moments leading up to the big game — cocky Brady's response to Plax's guarantee of a win:

"We're only going to score 17 points? OK. Is Plax playing defense? I wish he had said 45-42 and gave us a little credit for scoring more points."

Plax gave the little bitch too much credit.

what a game.

When Eli found Plax completely open in the end zone, i nearly choked on vodka laughing. The entire community I live in just erupted in applause. Great game

btw, to anybody doubting Penn State's defense and their reputation for being the absolute best at jacking people up... look no further than Jay Alford, and the absolute DEVASTATION that was his sack on Brady in that final drive. Holy fuck, for a moment I thought that was Tamba Hali in disguise...
I think Longcat is a pretty cool guy. eh is loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong and doesn't afraid of anything.

That I am, completely wrong about the game....however I did say I would love to see an upset. It was a great game!

I think towards the end, when the Pats went back on top, I got all pissed off...I thought to myself, "fuck the pats, i'm sick of these bastards." Then the final drive happened for the giants, what a great game.

Why WOULD the NFL destroy such evidence??? I'm going to go not too far out on a limb here and say probably because it was discovered the entire NFL is/was involved in similar, if not the very same activity.

It was a great game. I bet Mercury Morris is one happy guy today. I am curious, though. Why does Congress care about the taping that the Pats did?? Why is this something that they feel they need to get involved in??
Pour me another one, cause I'll never find the silver lining in this cloud.
