Directions
From Altoona:
Take I-99 North to the Bellwood exit. At the Stop sign, at the end of the off ramp, make a right. You'll then be on Skelp Mountain Road. You are going to drive ~3 miles... over the mountain. You will enter the Village of Skelp. My house is the last house on the Right... New House... green Cape Cod... three Dormers. If you go to the Stop sign, you've gone too far. Obviously, if you backtrack it will then be the first house of the left.
Can't wait!

I gotta say...those are some of the easiest directions I have EVER seen. Kudos. I may be attending this.Another-Drummer wrote:Directions

I was in a room with six drummers and lived to tell about it!
Actually, this was pretty cool, and informative. Bill, Shawn and the assembled cast of drummers demonstrated and discussed rudiments, techniques, gear and other drum topics. They dissected several noted drummers' techniques and figured out how drummers like the late John Bonham and Danny Carey do some of the things they do. It was a friendly, laid-back atmosphere. And if somebody had a question, they asked, and the rest of the group figured out and answered it. I learned from it, and I don't play the drums (at least yet; a few more of these sessions might change that!). Hats off to Randy for hosting it, and everyone who took part - it was fun! Definitely worth checking out the next time one of these takes place...

I am so angry that I couldn't make it. I'm sorry, all, but I left the house and the alternator in my car went! It was one of those look up at the heavens and scream "ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME????" moments. I've been looking forward to this all friggin' week. Now I gotta get the damn thing towed to my mechanic and come up with the bread to put a new one in. Jebus, when it rains it pours.
Oh well, I guess this means we'll have to do another one soon so I can get my Saludas out there for you guys to check out. (They're real, I promise!!) Again, my apologies, but there was nothing I could do.

Dood...
Jim, practice those paradiddles and we'll have you behind a kit in no time !
Randy, thanks. Randy was the first one to ever host a "drum night".
Shawn came home and said, "I learned so much, I can't wait to practice.....(this).....and.........(that)........!".
Kevin, we missed you man. Rob, your name came up often, Rob does this, Rob does that. BTW Rob missed the get together because HE OVER- SLEPT !
Every drummers get together is different. But we all go home inspired and ready to practice !
No one is afraid to say what he "can't" do. And everyone is encouraged to step up to another level.
Bobby passed along a a great "blues groove" (among some famous Bobby fills). Thanks Bob. BTW Bob, do you think Felix will teach me the blues like he taught you .
Steve Brulia . Thanks for coming, however I don't get left handed drummers.
Floyd. you have a very natural feel. I always learn something from you.
PLEASE, if you're a drummer, feel free to join us, You'll learn something and we'll learn something.
I NEVER walk away without learning something ! And the atmosphere is great. Thanks guys !
