Next Drummer Get Together

Post by RobTheDrummer »

Hey people, the next Drum Night will be on next wednesday the 26th of May. It will be from 5:30 to 9:00 pm at the Tyrone Area High School Band Room. I wouldn't mind if everyone brought their drumset and we could work on grooves and stuff like that...there is plenty of room. Once again, hope to see everyone there and we'll have some fun...bring drum vids, cd's anything. Thanks People! Later

Thanks Rob. I think BYOKit is a good idea. It'll give us a chance to try each others kits too. If I can get home from work early, I'll bring one.

We should also let people know we can cover any topic they want. From simple to complex rudiments, stick technique, anything. We can also break off into splinter groups to cover subjects. You don't have to bring a kit. Bring sticks, drum pad, anything or nothing.

Ice, I hope you can make it this time. If you want a ride, let me know.

Drum Night is a Political Free Enviroment.

I'll be there.

Yo' Bill. I watched "The Funk Brothers" DVD the other day. Pretty cool stuff. We'll talk about it next week. :D

I will be there, we rescheduled practice for this tuesday. Last nite Chuck set up his Yamaha DTexpress kit so i didnt have to bring my acoustics. I thought i would hate them but for a lower line electronic kit they were pretty cool. Plus the 18's monitors he had pounding out the kick was pretty sweet.

I just found out one of my longtime favorite drummers is playing for Blue Oyster Cult! Bobby Rondinelli from Rainbow fame! Wow, ill get to meet him in a month!

Didn't Rondinelli play for Sabbath for a while as well?? I have seen his double-bass book, it's amazing. Definitely a must-have if ya wanna pound them double-kick drums!!

I am going to see if I can make it down for this drum night, but I won't be able to bring my kit, as I have to work until 7pm. Do hope to make it down, though!!

If you guys want, I can have my brother bring my congas with him to work on some chops? Unfortunately, we're playing that night or I'd just stop out.
