About 6 times a year.
Mainly if we are learning new songs OR if we changed personel but hopefully we are done doing that for a while.

Do you write songs together? I have been out of the business for 20 years things have changed. We didn't seem to be as busy back then.. Thanks Debbie

Between jobs, school, girlfriends, and skateboarding...sometimes we just can't get together as much as we'd like to.

We do, infact write songs together. Though sometimes, one of us will come to jam with a new riff or something. That's the advantage of all 3 of us playing guitar when we're bored at home!

Don't get me wrong...we do practice, but it's usually once a month just to keep sharp on what we have. Maybe throw a new tune in here or there if we can.

Usually, it's easy..I've been jamming with these guys for a long time now so songwriting is a snap. And when people do stupid shit...we have all the writing inspiration we need.

Oh yeah, and there's not too much to playing punk rock.

Justin Cuff and the side effects- 2-3 times a month. It's all covers. If you NEED to practice covers regularly as a band you should prolly quit altogether. I can see just getting together to jam for something to do though.
How many cover songs do you do? I think crowds get tired of the same songs. We try to learn 2 cover songs a week. Some work some don't. I don't feel comforable playing a paid gig without going over the songs at least once with the whole band. It's nice having Dick at home to practice at anytime.

I wouldn't hold Justin Cuff and the Effects in any kind of high regard. We actually use this 'practice' as an excuse to drink and jam out some classic punk tunes we all grew up on...especially since it's a side project from all of our main bands. Lots of drinking though.

I don't know. I've been hearing the same crap from alot of bands for 10 years now.

Hopefully you'll start a revolution.

The side effects just do punk stuff for us. I will never play a cover just because someone else likes it. That said we don't care if we ever do more than some keg parties/bbq's. People would think our covers were original material.lol
