Local bands

Post by CredoSpeek »

I have been in this area now for just about a year, I am a wanna be guitarist, ( I know chords but am a beginner at best ) I love live music and was turned onto this site by a friend, I have been sorta in cognito and stay to myself but I have been using this site as a tool to find out who to see live and where, I have seen Bad Daze, very cool cover band I liked them, I seen Flight 19 and they were good as well, kept my interest and were exciting, Last week however I went to the all ages original show at the lions den , wow... this was the shit! Samura (spelling sorry) very tight and fast LOVED it, Plastered bastards, singer man how do you do that for 30-45 minutes amazing, and grimm what do I say odd timng, very original sound, not like everyone else heard it all before crap but truly - ORIGINAL I wanted to come and meet them but felt intimidated singer man you are ominous with the eyes etc... but tight... keep up what you do. choking faith tight as well love the energy, so far that's all i have seen but i will be continuing my quest, see you on stages.

Credo I am sure I speak for the entire band when I say THANK YOU,, Like any artist making art is what we Love to do but when someone admires our art it is icing on the cake, as far as approaching or meeting me or us dude ANYTIME... please next time you're at a show come on up introduce your self we'll have a beer and shoot the shit, we are all very down to earth and love our fans as friends.
I'm glad I didn't have to fight in a war, I'm glad I didn't get killed or kill somebody, I hope my kids enjoy the same lack of manhood

credo, there is a lot see & discover here... some local some not, nevertheless, we have a lot of talent in this area along with a passion for what we are ALL doing.
there's a big show tonite at the pinecroft fire hall...a benefit for a fallen area musician who passed away in september. good bands, a good time and a good cause...info posted on "Benefit" section of forums.
Thanks for the kind words regarding the lion's den show...those kinds of comments mean a lot to us!!

cheers

Right now they are not scheduling any shows, they are working on a split Lp with Swedish Crust band Skit System.
But we have talked to Rug about setting up a show in Altoona with Plastered Bastards,Behind Enemy Lines and Samara.
So we will see what happens.
Cheers!!!!

Welcome Credo! Comin from another current fan/not-quite-stager, there's a lot to be amazed about. All kinds of cool people around this town, pretty decent stuff. Plenty of bands to listen to, lots of venues,... Hell man, go out and immerse yourself in it! Go check the Upcoming Shows list for bands, places and other stuff. If you find a band you like,... Go see em! You're bound to find other awsome bands in the process too, as well as second homes for venues

If Jim Price comes around, he can give you the lowdown on some places and some stuff to see. Listen to him. He's the local music guru. This means bow to him if you ever see him ;)
