It's pretty cool that there are no wires that need run to the headstock. It uses the strings themselves to transmit the tuning data.
Custom tunings can also be done, or it can self tune to a reference string for tuning to other instruments.
There is also an intonation helper that tells you how many turns and which direction to move the saddles.
I might buy an SG just to put this system on. I don't want to use my Les Paul as a test subject.

really? when I dont have the money I put new technology down and say how something like that is stupid or a complete waste of cash... and Im biting my lip the entire time.

Just imagine writing a song where the bass slips to a different tuning at the same time as the guitar. It would be potentially gut-wrenching.
