Cracked Cymbal

Post by DrumAndDestroy »

I have an 18'' Zildjian A Custom Projection crash. It has held up well over the past 2 years, but tonight I noticed a small crack beginning to develop. It is about 3/4 of an inch long.

I've seen drummers who have cut portions of a cymbal out when this occurs...but I have never had to do this.

Use some shop cutters??

Any tips??

U can delay the crack by cutting it out, ive done it, but the cymbal is done.
Lighter playing it will last longer.
But once a cymbal cracks the sound is never the same.
