Band Wanted For A Battle Of The Bands..

Attention Bands!!

The Garver YMCA in Roaring Spring, PA, needs your help!

They have a Battle Of The Bands every few months at The Garver Y, and the upcoming show has ONE slot open! If you would like to compete, info follows!

-The Battle Of The Bands is on Saturday, June 5th, from 8-11pm, at the Garver YMCA gymnasium in Roaring Spring, PA, 10 minutes from Altoona.

-Each band will play one 30-minute set, the winning band will play again at the end of the battle.

-Covers are fine, orginals are great, ALL LYRICS MUST BE CLEAN.

-Bands should provide their own instruments and a vocal PA. (Drummers, bring a rug!)

-There are some prizes for 1st through 4th place. Small, but decent.

-You can sell your swag and/or merch if you wish.

Whoever gets this slot will be facing defending champion INFUSED along with 2 other bands. The winner will be invited back at the next event to defend their title.

This Battle Of The Bands is fun, and it's meant to get yourself some exposure to a crowd you may not have played for in the past, mostly Cove-area teenagers. It's a nice atmosphere, taken with a grain of salt, as competition is really secondary here. By participating, your band will be helping to raise money for the Garver Y.
