Yeah, and let's not forget Brown Eyed Girl and Old Time Rock n' Roll. God, it shouldn't be considered a real gig unil you've played those four tunes.torn&frayed wrote:This is like a deja vu thread if I have ever seen one! Like how about free bird and sweet home alabama! Rock On Dude?
"He's the electric horseman, you better back off!" - old sKool making a reference to the culturally relevant 1979 film.

Jefferson Airplane... White Rabbit. I honestly can't recall ever hearing it done in this are. If I'm wrong, sorry. But it's a cool song. With lyrics like "When you're sloppy dead..." you can't go wrong!

OK, how about "Stairway to Heaven" then I would have to hope for "Machine Messiah" from the Yes album "Drama". With such focus on cover songs in the area I am surprised that I have yet to hear "Beautiful Day- U2" or "Drops of Jupiter- Train" and the list goes on but my wheel fell of (Ron)...

I always wanted to do Welcome To The Machine by Pink Flyod, but when I heard that Shadows Fall already did it, then I heard their version of it, I felt that it couldn't have been done better and abandoned my quest for that song.

La Villa Strangiato by Rush - a buddy of mine with an AWESOME drumkit once told me if I could play that song note for note he would GIVE me his gear..... he's not in any danger of losing it..... if you can play that tune individually, you're a badass - on any instrument, but drums especially, and a whole band that could do it would be really impressive......
You better call me a doctor - feelin' no pain!
