Yeah, especially the strings-thru-body feature.

Super nice bass....impressive!!!! Best feature would be the double cutaway...really makes access to the high frets a breeze!!!! For those of you who were players in the mid-70's, you may recall this popular bass effect pedal...the Super Bass-o-matic 76!!!...

It had pure tone and was superior at scaling, cutting and gutting...

I got one of those bass-o-matics in my kitchen. I've never used it. Are they worth anything now?

I went into the music store today to buy a set of strings. Last April or so, I tried out a Schecter Stiletto Custom and was throughly impressed. They had a four-banger hanging on the wall in this store. The staff is very cool with letting customers try out instruments, so the guitar dude gave me a cord and told me that I'm welcome to plug in. I fired up a Peavey TKO combo and I was once again impressed with the Stiletto. Most instruments in this price range I find to have that general mid-quality feel and tone, but the Stilettos seem to be pro-level instruments. I tried out a few other basses in that price range and I found most of them to have sterile sounding electronics and most seemed to be rather awkward to play. I plugged the Stiletto in and again was really pleased. The entire tonal spectrum of the instrument is well-represented but nothing seems to "bleed" into each other. One thing I find with some basses is that the lows mush into the low mids and make the instrument sound muddy, but the Stiletto has a really tight and focused low-end. The highs make me think that the instrument would really cut through a mix rather well. I actually like its slap tone better than my Carvin's slap tone.

I'm really digging on the Stiletto Custom. I've even talked to some cats who prefer their Stilettos over their Warwicks. My main concern would be the electronics. I've heard some guys say that the preamps can get noisy. Can any Stiletto oweners shed light on this? Playing at quiet levels on a Peavey TKO in a music store is a lot different than gig volumes in a venue that might have less than clean power.

Jae, that's a really nice Bass. I like the body because it doesn't have giant horns and cut aways like alot of basses.
That reminds me of the bass that Moondoggy is selling.

Everyone on here that posted, all have really nice basses. I'm really impressed with alot of them.

When I am playing bass, this are my toys.

Image

My main player is my Swamp Ash Ken Smith 5 String

When I get the urge to play a 4 String I have a 1993 Fender P-Lyte.

Although it is semi-retired I still enjoy playing my 71 Rick 4001

It's good to have toys!!!!

Jae, I was thinking about another bass that he had for sale.
I love this thing man, if I were a bass player this would be my love slave for sure. I'd probably give it a tongue bath like you bass players like to do from time to time. lol
Some one needs to give this a good home for sure. (bassist_25 you hear that?)
