Favorite Simpsons Quote

Post by RobTheDrummer »

Hey, I noticed that Nick has a Simpsons quote in his signature....I was wondering what everyone's favorite Simpsons quote is!! I personally like when homer gets on the scale and says....woohoo, d'oh. woohoo, d'oh. woo, d'oh wo, d'. woohoo! I know it sounds stupid, but hey..if you know what I'm talking about then you'll understand!

My favorite is when the Simpsons get that racing horse Furious D. And the jockeys pull Homer into Jockey Land and threaten to kill him if he doesn't lose the next race. Homer tries to explain to Bart why Furious D must throw the race......

HOMER: Alright. We'll give it a shot! I'll deal with those murderous trolls!
BART: Huh?
Homer: I mean......I'll deal with those murderous trolls!

In my own mind..that's pretty freakin' funny.

Well huzzah, huzzah. I'll just throw back my legs and pollute my britches with delight.

MR. BURNS: This anonymous clan of slack-jawed troglodytes has cost me the election, and yet if I were to have them killed, I would be the one to go to jail. That's democracy for you.

SMITHERS: You are noble and poetic in defeat, sir.

Classic Simpsons!

Post by tornandfrayed »

There is one part in the episode where Homer builds Bart a new bike. The bullies are harrassing Bart about his old bike and the one guy tears the tassles off of the handlebars and says "My Mom can use these on her Boobs at work!". Classic Simpsons!

Super genius Steven Hawking is solving a great dilema at some outdoor forum. (Homerpalooza maybe?) Homer agrees with him without knowing exactly who he is. He yells "Larry Flint's right!" Man I thought I was gonna soil myself.

Mr. BURNS: Hurl this (pudding) at THAT (Lenny)
HOMER: At Lenny, but he's a war hero!
Mr. BURNS: Well lets decorate him, then.
HOMER: No!
Mr. BURNS: Not even for... four dollars!?
HOMER: ::hurls it::
LENNY: Ow! My eye, I'm not supposed to get pudding in it!
Mr. BURNS: Ahaha, that was capital! My lung is aching.
HOMER: I like when I threw the pudding!
Mr. BURNS: Do it again! I'll make it an even eight.
HOMER: You're the boss ::hurls another::
LENNY: Ow! I'm in hell!

Forgot to mention, The Simpsons is, in my opinion, the most consistently funny show in TV history. Other shows had bright spots, but the writing is always subversive, always satirical to a fault, and always funny. Favorite moment? Season one, Homer and Bart get lost in the woods, Homer sets a trap for a rabbit with a vine and sapling, and when the trap goes off, it launches the rabbit over the horizon. To this day I don't know exactly why that's funny, but I literally writhed on my living room floor laughing at it.
Favorite episode? "Homer's Medical Marijuana." 'Nuff said.---->JMS

1 – (During a meltdown at the plant)

Mr. Smithers: Where’s my radiation suit, Mr. Burns?
Mr. Burns (covering the name plate that says “Mr. Smithers” on the suit he’s wearing): How the hell should I know?

2 – (At a child’s birthday party)

Chief Wiggum: Now let’s see, where did I put my gun? Ah yeah, I laid it down when I got a piece of cake.

3 – (In the monorail cockpit, Homer shows Marge around and they discover the opposum family)

Homer: I call the big one “Bitey.”
That's what she said.

I don't know.. I wish they would have given Family Guy and Futurama more of a chance on Fox. Luckily Cartoon Planet picked it up. ::sniffles:: But picking them up meant they dropped "Oh Canada"... and that was a hoot. They were the frog in the kitchen and the cat came back (the very next day) people... Genious.

"I think Mr. Burns, that you have so many things wrong with you that it acts like a door ::puts a koosh ball and tries to stuff them all through, blocking each other from passing through the door:: so that's why you're still alive..." (On Monty's anual checkup.. I nearly pee'd myself when they found out he was pregnant...)

Almost as good as the time Homer thought he saw a ghost, and it was just Monty Burns glowing from radiation and doped up because he didn't get his meds yet....

The Family Guy's currently in production again. The DVD sales were huge, and Cartoon Network ratings were big, too, so they're coming back. Brilliant show... I loved the episode with Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons from Kiss!
Anybody here ever see The Oblongs? Another cool animated show that came and went. Will Ferrell was a voice, and it was hilarious. Of course, I miss The PJ's, but only the version with Eddie Murphy... my wife always said I looked like Rastamon (a Jamaican immigrant whose face was constantly obscured by a cloud of dopesmoke).
Jeeezus, I watch too many cartoons. I need to go outside and play more. ---->JMS

Nelson's dad: "Great game son. C'mon I'm taking you to Hooters."
Nelson: "Aww, I don't wanna bother Mom at work."

Carl: "Homer's a great nuclear safety inspector, but I don't know if I'd trust him with my garbage."

Moe: "aw, Homer, you know your money's no good here-hey, wait a minute! This is real money!"

Skinner (as a radical): "Up yours, children."

Radioavtice Man: "Up and at them."
Director: "No, it's 'Up and Atom'".
R.M.: "Up and at them."

Sea Captain McCallister: "Yar! Come see the bottomless pit- nature's cruelist mistake."

Barney: "All I remember about the last 2 months is giving a guest lecture at Villanova. Or maybe it was a street corner."

More to come Im sure.
Gosh, I love that show!

Thats the "MENSA" episode. Whan all the smart people take over the town.

I love Milhouse's quote about the little girlhe starts seeing during 3rd season: "We started out like Romeo and Juliet, but it ended up in tragedy."

At he Olympics in Springield during the children's presentation:
Homer: "I've never wanted a beer more in my life!"
Marge: PULLS BEER OUT OF PURSE
Homer: "I love you honey!!"
Marge: "Are you talking to me or the beer?"
Homer: To you my beechwood aged bubbley headed lover."
