Here's probably the best site that I've found for guitar bodies.
They will make them to your specs. And good news for me, Lefties are the same price.

I have had several of their bodies in here to paint for customers who bought them on ebay and though the prices might be ok their quality is not. I have had a couple San Dimas reproduction bodies that were way off from the originals (horn spacing was wrong, contours were terrible, the back of the neck pockets were routed with a round over bit so when the neckplate was put on it hung over. Just terrible bodies and the star and vee bodies were no better. It all comes down to You get what you pay for.

I appreciate the insight very much. I understand that you get what you pay for, and that thought was in the back of my mind when I saw the prices.
I got to thinking though, for me it's an ok deal, being left handed.
If I bought an un finished body from Warmoth or some place else, I would pay almost $300 and with my time and materials, I would have around $500 into the body alone.
I might get one of those Star bodies and see what it looks like, if all else I could sell it.
I wouldn't buy a Strat body from them after hearing what you said, though.
Besides, Strats are a dime a dozen, and everyone and their brother makes them.
Where do you buy your bodies from, or do you make them yourself?
Thanks again Paul.

I was getting bodies made by Bill Zolla in Ca. for a while he has been into it since the early 80's, Zolla Guitars. But now they are all built locally as I make exact templates when I get a vintage body in and they are exact down to every detail which is one thing nice about having the real vintage bodies to go by sitting right in front of you. I have a bunch of new body style pics that need to be put up on my site but just havent got to it yet. Actually I am going up to his shop this morning to finish up some bodies with him. I am finishing up a double neck baretta body, a Wolfgang body and also a San Dimas body this morning. I actually think I have a lefty San Dimas Charvel body which hasnt been routed yet for anything (neck pocket, pickup, trem). If it is there I will bring it home with me today. I believe that it is a 2 piece poplar body which Charvel used quite a bit of poplar back in the day now they are just using shitty bass wood because Eddie likes light guitars, and it suck because bass wood is the cheapest wood you can use and is very soft. You used to only see bass wood bodies on cheap low line guitars or to be capped with fancy maple. But now they are using the cheapest wood in the world on high end guitars. Makes no sense. Shoot me an email if you are interested in the lefty body and i will hook you up.

Paul, I might be interested in that San Dimas body. Is it routed for a top mount Floyd? Single humbucker? Is the Volume knob location drilled yet?
I'll email you later about this, I just read this and wanted to let you know.
Thanks alot.

Yeah, both Ibanez and B.C. Rich use Basswood almost exclusively in their whole line of guitars. I had an '04 Warlock, and I just couldn't find a pickup that masked the shitty wood and produce a better tone. I had 3 or 4 Ibanez RG's and it was the same story with them.
Here's a pic of the Warlock I sold:
