I got this in my email today and it really made me think..
Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me.
I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.
In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine
test with which I have no problem.
What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people
who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine
test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them??
Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on
their feet. I do on the other hand have a problem with helping someone
sitting on their ass while I work... Can you imagine how much money
the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public
assistance check ?????

Man there's something I commented on months ago... That bugs me...I totally agree...If a working man wants to get high, at least he worked for the money to do so... 
I hear the scanner go off for the project housings all the time..You can actually watch on welfare payday the trips from one door to the next...If your getting a free check, you shouldn't have extra money to get high...So many older people out there too proud to ask for some help or they don't qualify, but then you see people capable of working taking a check to the neighbors to score a bag!.....And I gotta pee to keep my job and get a check...I think if a guy is a good worker and shows up, what he does on his own time is his business.

A majority of the population in DuBois is on welfare. I can take you right down the street and show you a couple hundred people that are 3rd or 4th generaton welfare. People who have never worked a day in their life and just suck off the goverment tit. (one big giant tit)
Meanwhile myself and my old man work our asses off, buy our own shit. Buy our own cars and such. My grandfather hired this one guy. The guy has been convicted of grand theft auto a few times. But hes on welfare. And the PA S.P.O.C program bought him a car. He wrecked it in the first week. Then they gave him 1400 to buy another. That one is now toast as well. I find it all sickening. Almost as much as the whole "Illegal immigrants children get survivor benefits that ill never see".

Sadly though, I somehow doubt he'll be elected. Kinda sucks that such a good idea opposes the majority of the way the population lives. I know enough people that're collecting welfare money, selling their food stamps, selling their perscriptions, etc. just for another hit of what they like
It's really sad watching the local economy. So much of our taxes goes into politician hands, so much more goes into peoples' hands that abuse the money, and so little comes back to the people who WORKED for it, so little goes back to the towns that NEED that money. It's no wonder we're so far into financial debt. I know people with their addictions... But there's a BIG difference between somebody who's putting a bad use to government money and someone who's earning their own and trying to override the pain of every-day life. The way people are these days, we're just giving them money to go trash themselves with

I've been around some of those lazy idiots. I would rather NOT have them work with / for me. They are so lazy they spend their day trying to do nothing, costing the employer too much.
The employer would have to raise his prices of his product because three of these idiots MIGHT equal one hard worker.

Yep. pretty sad eh? Since it has the Visa Logo on it, you can go to a MAC machine, withdraw whatever it holds, and spend it on anything you want. I think that if a person is able to work, then they should only receive assistance for no more than 90 days. They should have to show proof that they are applying for jobs, etc... They must be enrolled in a temp agency to show they are making an effort.
And if you get a Vehicle from Welfare, then just as you only have 7 days to get it inspected, then you should only have lets say 30 days to get a job, and no more than 14 days to show proof with a pay stub.
They must get their GED, (which is really a meaningless piece of paper)
Education should be mandatory regardless.
There's no reason for anyone that is able to work, not to.
I think if you don't have a job, then you just don't want to work.
These ideas are very reasonable, and easily achieved. It would solve alot of this shit.
Of course we gotta somehow take action on those who just refuse.

I agree with what you said earlier about proving your trying to get a job...I remember years ago (like in the 80's) when we were laid off and getting unemployment.. and when that ran out we were able to file for an extension....But I had to show that i tried to get work 3 times a month and have the employers sign the paper..."To get money I worked for and paid in!!!"?!?! 
I think Access Cards for the worthless ones should be the size of a 4X8 ft sheet of ply-board so they'd least have to work some wrestling the card to the store...LOL....
I have a neighbor that makes wine with his...trades a bottle for a case of beer now and then..and he heats with wood so when they give him a fuel assistance check he has a guy cash it and he gets free wood from neighbors/friends that work the saw mills....And the check is invested (into the VFW and American Legion) in hopes of hitting the book so he can live higher than a hog for a few months...... I ask myself "Am I stupid, or is he smart????"

This country will be ruined in say 10/20 yrs because of this. You wonder why your property/school taxes are rising. Why the health Ins is sky rocketing. To many people "collecting"!!! Not enough people working.
I agree, sometimes people need help. That's what it is for. But people from other states and places "seek" it out. Where is the easiest place to collect and they move there. Central Pa IS a prime place. Hell they even have billboards advertising it in my area..... How stupid. Why??? Local gov gets a "kick back" from the Fed gov.... Stupid!!!
