Has anybody ever been there? What are your thoughts of the place?
I went there this past friday to watch my all time favorite band - Social Distortion. Here are my thoughts. I had to stand outside by garage doors which turned out to be some of the best seats in the house(i was about 20 feet from the band all night) it was raining, thundering and lightening, etc. The room for this place was just plain wierd, the stage was set to the left of the room(next to the garage doors) and it was really wide for about 50 feet or so then the last 25 or so feet wasn't all that wide. It was a death trap if i ever seen one. There was way to many people in that place to be leagal although i think since it is a mulitple level club that number of people aloud by code was legal but none of the other floors were open to other entertainment and they still got away with it. It was freaking insane how packed it was in there. I've been to tons of shows where it was packed but not any where near as bad as this.
Although i will say that i loved the show and Social D put on one hell of a show i will never go back to that place again.
And another note to mention is that i hope that i have the poise, energy, etc. that Mike Ness and the gang have at there age in the game!!!

Ive been to the Croc Rock to see YNGWIE MALMSTEEN (George Lynch opened) and I think its a REALLY cool club. It was ridiculously PACKED when I was there too. The only things I had a problem with were A.) NO PICTURES ALLOWED B.) NO TICKETS STUB (they give you a lame paper wristband).
Its a VERY cool club but like most everything, there is room for some improvement.
