Who is your "dream" touring partner?

Post by Chevelle7982 »

If you could choose anywhere from 1-5 current touring bands to share a tour with, who would it be and why?

Dream Theater. I'd be far to afraid to attempt to play onstage w/ them, but I would have no problem just sitting backstage. Heck, I'd be happy being their tour bus mechanic, toilet scrubber, or shoe shiner! If i couldn't tour w/ them, I guess I'd pick the Grimm!!

Yeah, I'd have to go with DT also...but I'd really like to hang w/ Styx. Those guys are old..and they're always hanging out with REO Speedwagon. I would like to spend time with them before they die...they're so old!!
And Lynyrd Skynyrd...they're old too!!! They should retire.
My favorite band can do better unison solos then your favorite band.

I'd open, then sit in with the Hurricanes in the rockin' chair, then Gov't Mule or Indigenous. Of course, touring with Snoop would have it's fringe benefits... ---->JMS

I would have to go with TOOL !! In addition to the musical part of that tour Imagine The conversations about spirituality that you could have with Danny Carey and Maynard MOST INDEPTH !! I am also flattered that someone would be interested in touring with THE GRIMM !

I would like to tour with Limp Bizkit, even though Fred Durst sucks, he still gets alot of attention from the females as well as the invites to the playboy mansion. Method Man would be fun to tour the world with. He probably has supplies form every country! I liked the idea of touring with Tool. I think that the Foo Fighters would be fun to tour with. Dave Grohl would be a great person to party with. And then there is Aerosmith, selling out every venue. You're always guaranteed a packed house and full attention.

TOOL, although I'd prolly get kicked off the tour for drooling all over Danny's drums every day.

I'm embarrassed to say, that I just say dream Theater's live concert clips for the very first time. I never even heard these guys before. Impressive indeed. I wonder what it would have been like to tour with Pink Floyd?

Although our music styles are on different sides of the spectrum, I would want to tour with Rush. My all time favorite band.

I would have to say Phil Collins/Genesis or Green Day. Phil would put music into a god-like perspective for me. That man is genius. And Green Day.. well.. that would just be a kick-arse party time.
Come to think of it, Disturbed would be cool too. They're music is intense, but their singer is so laid back, he seems like he'd be a deep mythological person if you could get him to talk.

Maynard...he'd be great to tour with (through tool or a perfect circle) because I'd love to get inside his head to see what makes his music tic.. Slipknot because Joey Jordison and Corey Taylor make it so intense...melody and lyrically wise.

And the last? Well, I'd honestly have to say...Linkin Park. Their look and their music is contageous. I'd love to be part of that for a few.
