So What Did Ya Get For Christmas?

Post by ToonaRockGuy »

Anyone get new axes, keyboards, amps, drums, or general music gear? Let's hear about it!

I didn't get anything musical. But I did get an official WSOP Poker Set and "Shadow Of The Colossus" for my PS2. Very cool. Get some cool shirts, a new Michigan hoodie, and 50 bucks. My daughter got a percussion kit from my parents, including a mini marching tom, some shakers, castanets, and real wooden drumsticks. She loves it, but it's giving me a headache. I'll have to bring her to the next Rockpage jam, LOL!

I got a gaming chair, Madden 06 and Project Gotham Racing for my Xbox 360, Steelers clothes, a $20 gift card from Circuit City, and candy. Not too bad.

Obviously, the biggie was THE CAMERA (Thanks again everyone!). I also received an Electrostorm Ball Lamp, a Penn State Orange Bowl T-shirt, a Trish Stratus poster, several gift cards/certificates, various food items, a bottle of Wild Irish Rose, two tins of sardines, beer chips and some cash. And I'm liking it all!

My brother, my parents and I have been giving each other money for Christmas for as long as I can remember It's funny how Santa brings exactly what we wanted for Christmas every year he he I'm not into shopping at all. I rarely go to stores any time of year besides Sheetz.

I bought a 300 gig external hard drive and a phattie citarette rolling machine with my Christmas money. I'm done paying over 4 bucks a pack for smokes. I buy 2 packs a day sometimes. I pay about 80 cents a pack now.

My brother John and Patrice sent me a huge box of stuff and a gift card from Wal Mart. I loved all of it brudda John has given me every favorite hat I ever had I'm e-mailing you right after I post this You and Patrice should get your gifts by the end of the week

My sister, oldest son and mother arrived today in time for my daughter's 17th Birthday and to take my youngest son with her for the week. To see my oldest son was the only gift I needed. Them too, of course! :) My sister also got me a pretty Cream-colored Sweater with Blue Roses on it, that will match my Rose Jeans :) ...and another "sort of" Sweater...it's kinda see through...she said something about "wearing a Camisole underneath"...oookay. (Sis, I don't know what you're trying to do with that one! :D) My mom gave a Tea Pot thing she got from QVC. From my children, I received a "Best Mom" Charm Bracelet, and a Butterfly Sparkle Globe...they are the best! :)

I didn't get anything worthy of posting, but I did buy myself a new toy before I went shopping for everyone else. It's not so much a toy, but more like my new child! It's my Armen Pete VI toothless wonder:

I know it's wrong that I bought for myself before I even bought anything for anyone else, but I love being a greedy fool. I also love being a stuck-up prick and showing off!

Nice bass MOONDOGGY !

I got the normal stuff mostly , jeans , shirts ,candy ect. My mother got me some new woodworking tools which I needed and my little bro got me a new muzzleloader rifle. I almost forgot how much fun a muzzleloader was to shoot ! I kinda feel like Davey Crockett or something ,but it felt as cool opening that gift as it did when I was 10 and got my first BB gun. I also got a nice whiskey flask from our band and I almost forgot about the big fat belly of food !

CONGRATULATIONS, Moondoggy! (Gee, I feel all "Beach Blanket Bingo" when I type that name! :)) It's a beautiful Bass! Hee, hee, hee..."nice Wood". Nah, you're not wrong for getting something for yourself first...I'd
wager you deserved it! I for one can tell you love your craft and are going to enjoy it. Those that care about you support what you did, I'm sure, or would support it, if they don't know. As I told a friend who finally was given something she deserved, "show away"! :D It didn't cost me a thing, but I gave myself the Gift of GREAT Music and dancing like a fool Christmas night!

Thanks Yank. I don't know about the whole 'me deserving it' thing, but I know that she is deserving of the warm bed she has to sleep in! (jk...I don't really sleep with it....................It has the bed all to itself!)

Congrats Griff! I'd love to hear that thing. Did you get two 410 cabs?!? I had a WT-500 and one D410XLT and it was a smokin amp! I can't imagine the 800 thru two 410s! Let me know when you play it out (if you do!)

Thanks Moondoggy, I have the D410 xlt, and the D210 xlt on top it seems to work well with 6- 10s. I was at hollowoods in pittsburgh and this was all they had left for cabs, they were selling them at cost to unload them they were selling there heads at cost as well and when I plugged into the rig that was it. My better half said she never heard a bass rig that sounded so good. the killer was she said to the salesman we will take the stack told me merry x-mas and bring the durango to the door I will be bringing them out on new years we are playing in patton St. Marys church hall has a public bash
