EN_ER_GY!

Post by YankeeRose »

I didn't happen to see a single
"Laser" last night, but there was plenty of the aforementioned subject exuding from the members of Side Step last night and being fed to the packed danced floor! Also a treat were their 2 special guests, Dave Thomas on Harmonica (NO, not the Wendy's guy, he's in the "Great Beyond"!) and Mr. "I Feel Good" Barnes on Vocals and his amazing, somewhat painful looking, (To me and Debbie, any way!), dance moves - you know, those splits, oooh! GREAT SHOW, thank you!

Thanks, Yank! Not bad for a bunch of old dudes... I'm whooped today, and Jerrone Barnes did most of the "heavy lifting!" Anytime Jerrone climbs onstage, you're in for a real treat... get him to tell you stories about the day, he's been onstage with James Brown (by accident!). He's seen 45 years of Central PA music... I'm a rookie compared to him.
Thanks also to Dave Thomas for the "hot n' juicy" harpoon... I need to practice more.
Tonight?? The Post!!------------>JMS

Thanks, Yankee for the kind words and a big thank you to Dave (Hot & Juicy) Thomas and the ever popular Jerrone (The Voice) Barnes for sittin in with us. Altoona hasn't seen a showman like Jerrone on it's stages in a long while.

Why is it the great ones are always SO modest? :) People were dancing before Dave or Jerrone took the stage. Heck, DAVE was dancing! :) Thanks again, especially for the Allman Brothers and SRV, "oh baby you KNOW what I like"! (Taken from "Chantilly Lace", I think is the title...) Have a great show tonight!!!
