A big CHEERS to JMS once again!! Blind Jonny Death and songsmith's kickin' lap-steel blew the doors off of Aldo's last night! YEEEEEHAAAAA!
Oh, man. Dude, I felt like a rock star! Okay, chicks don't dig me, but otherwise it smoked! I was somewhat apprehensive... not yella, mind you, but a 41-year-old dork with a steel guitar?... it coulda gotten ugly, with all the sweat and tattoos in the room. That apprehension disappeared a couple song in... people were hollerin' before I even finished my solo's. Truthfully, I've played better, but hey, who's argueing?
Thanks for a great time, and repeat that to the other Blinders. My wife, had a wonderful time hanging out with Mrs. Slim and Mrs. Rojo as well... it hearkened back to a time when people actually came to see me play.
Phil Steele's wife Sherri is a new BJD fan, and I'm sure there are plenty more to come (don't forget to flyer the PSU Altoona campus for the Hitching Post shows).
