I know some-one that has a tik for a wed. show in Hershey,75 big ones?
After hundreds of concerts over more than 2 decades, one of my favorite moments, if not THE favorite moment, was at a Priest show at City Island in Harrisburg in '82. Iron Maiden had just finished and it was really a classic show, they were touring on Number of The Beast, so I wasn't sure how my then-favorite band was going to follow it. It was hot, general admission "seating," and everybody packed against the stage... there was that fragrant cloud that hung just above the crowd at nearly every heavy-rock show back then... it got really super quiet for maybe a second, and Priest launched into "The Hellion," which was brand-new at the time, and fed into "Electric Eye." Maybe ten thousand people were there, pumping fists, sweaty, screaming for vengeance, back before hair-band ditties, before shoe-gazing whiners, before hip-hop thugs... ten thousand people all yelling "FUUUUUUUU****K YEAAAAAAH!!!!!" at the same time. I was 18 and still on the farm, and my eyes probably looked like pie-plates, they were so wide-open.
Tomorrow night, I'll probably sit quietly and comfortably in the mid-rows with a cool drink, but my heart's gonna be packed like a sardine against the front row barrier, enjoying a contact high, fist in the air. Hope to see you there.------->JMS

Whoa, baby! Great show... very, very LOUD, I wear earplugs and it still got almost painful. Queensryche was great, there's a reason why people still dig them, Tate's vocals were right on the dot, and the new stuff is good.
Priest was awesome! Halford came out like a metal monster, like his boots weighed 50 lbs each, and his voice sounded like a swarm of hornets, almost otherworldly... I wasn't sure he could keep up the pace vocally for the whole show because he was pushing SO hard, distorting his mic several times (Try this. Try singing so hard a Shure Beta 58 distorts at mic level.). To be truthful he couldn't keep that pace, nobody could, and by the end, he had fudged a few lines, but it still rocked immensely. He also had a teleprompter downstage center feeding him lyrics to new stuff and obscure old stuff... also nice to know I'm not the only one who needs a cheatsheet. Speaking of old stuff, they did plenty, like Beyond The Realms of Death, I'm A Rocker, Diamonds and Rust, Metal Gods, and Exciter. Another thing I was amazed by: Halford dropped the F-bomb. Three times. I can't even remember how many times I've seen Priest, and all the videos and articles, appearances and such, and not so much as a "damn" or "hell" and now he's effity-effing everything. Granted I use the word about every minute or so, but that's me, I always cussed. It just shocked me, I guess.
The guitarists showed why they're legends and Scott Travis is probably the most "effortless" drummer I've ever seen... the dude is even graceful how he drums... very cool.
All in all, a great show, and I saw RonnyD, Big Jim, AdamD, Bill Dierling, and the guy who replaced me in Strychnine (name escapes me). Oh, and The Beast Which Is The Priest apparently no longer draws young hot girlies in fishnet stockings. Bummer.---------->JMS

My critique:
Queensryche were very precise with a good full sound. It seemed like the left side of the drum kit was a little light in the mix, though. Tate sounded as good as ever. Especially, Take Hold of the Flame. They did a medley of Queen of the Ryche, Nightrider, and Blinded which was cool. Tate even mentioned what an honor it was to share the stage with the "legendary" JP.
When the Priest hit the stage, it was a sight to behold. I think it was 14 years since I saw them last. The Painkiller tour. As Songsmith said, Halford is still sounding real good. Voice cracked a couple times but nothing major. Real deep bottom end. I swear the bass drums were about 6 feet deep. The highlights were the 4 off the new cd and Victim of Changes, Beyond the Realms of Death, Painkiller, and Exciter. Of course they played the old, well, you know what they are. Could be the last time to see them and they made it a good one.
