Old Dash rip rock footage

Post by HurricaneBob »

I found these old vids in my attic. Forgot i even had them. Aldos, 199?. Jeff Wallach on guitar, Rob Cruise, Voc, guitar. Tom Yanatelli, bass and me on drums. Im putting all 3 sets on DVD for the guys to have. Heres 2 songs from Megadeth, Symphony of Destruction and Sweating Bullets. Blast from the past with Jeffs shredding mullet. If anyone knows what year this was let me know, hell i cant remember.

Enjoy http://felixandthehurricanes.com/Dashriprock.wmv

Very cool. That was probably one of the last times Aldo's upper level was used, until the recent "Underground TV" parties.

Is Mystic Music still around? I went down there a few months ago and there was a wig shop there instead.

nope. he closed up to go back to school to get his phd or masters or something like that. the music shop wasnt really a buisness kinda. he opened it because of a requirement or something for school. so when he didnt need it anymore he closed up.

Very cool video. I saw DRR at Aldos in (I'm guessing) 1991. Probably not the same night as the video was shot though since I don't think Jeff Wallach was in the band when I saw them - not sure though ? How could I forget seeing/hearing Jeff Wallach ?

Wow I like the double Kick stuff I had NO idea... Robby Kruis was the local boy made hero for me, I was in like 8th grade when I saw him play for the first time and he spun the guitar around his head like so many folks done in the 80's but to see someone do it who wasn't on TV WOW !! I went out the next week borrowed a guitar and began to lolly gag around.. Atrip back for sure. COOL !!
I'm glad I didn't have to fight in a war, I'm glad I didn't get killed or kill somebody, I hope my kids enjoy the same lack of manhood

I was there the night that was recorded. I wish I had a video of DRR doing "Domino".
... and then the wheel fell off.
