Most brutally embarrassing moment

Post by GUITARII »

Bobby got me thinking about this with his sober topic.... Recently, while playing a gig I got extremely tanked! So bad in fact that I ended up blowing chunks and getting carried to the van... at which point I proceeded to spew out the window! For now, at least, I have vowed to drink nuttin but some high quality h2o while playing out! I was and still am very embarrassed about the situation, but shit happens right?

What are some of your most embarrassing band experiences?

Good Topic,
around '91, the band I was in had a couple of sizeable gals that followed us everywhere, so we're up in Grove City , some strange place our agent decided to throw his misfit band, so these girls are there with the usual hatch back full o'booze and funny smokes, so while tailgating before the show and on break they got me so tanked I had to sit for the 3rd set, the bass player is unhappy with me and kicks me in the head sayin "get up", he later apologizes " you didn't miss a note but it just didn't look good with you sitting on the stage" i procedeed to moon everyone after the show too..........funny we never played there again huh?

Stix and Stones played at Scooby's in Greensburg years ago (I forget what the name of the place was before that, I think Blondies). We were playing a Rage Against the Machine song and I jumped up on the drum riser in order to do kind of a flying jump off of it. I jumped up in the air as high and hard as I could only to hit head first into the steel I beam going across the stage. Totally knocked myself cold for about a good 10 seconds. Very embarrassing.

Oh, dear Lord. Check the archives for my most embarrassing moment... it involved spandex pants, and a full-on high-noon chubby.---->JMS

Laugh if you want to, really is kinda funny, 'cause the world is a car and you're the crash test dummy.

It might not be that big of a deal, but two of my most embarassing moments where at Dougherty's. One of them had been, during a moment when I was supposed to growl and sound all pissed off, my voice cracked and I did this annoying whine into the mic. The second ( a different show, same place) was when I jumped up and was swinging from the rafter beam and Esa took a picture of me and when she snapped it, you could see right up my shorts. Old one eye made a guest appearance. Heh - that picture never saw the website!

Ooo, just thought of another one...ESY was doing a show at Aldo's and I can remember jamming out and then jerking real quick because I felt something very cold. I pulled my bass away from me for a second and released my fly was down, and again, old one eye tried slamming along with us. I waited for a break in the song, put my back to the audience and zipped up. I was red in the face for about two songs after that.
